    Any suggestion on aftermarket/replacement front brake pads for a 1994 512TR? The car sees some spirited street driving and minimal track time, if at all. With suggestions include how to obtain same. Thanks

    There are two types of calliper... ATE and Brembo. Which do you have?

    Thanks for the info. I will ring them up on Monday. I hear the R4-S are the best for street driving.

    what do you all think of the ATE brake pads on a 80 308 gtsi??

    Unsual to have Brembos on a US car. All of the 512s that I have seen have ATE including all 3 of the 512Ms which I was sure would have the Brembos.

    The Brembo is easy to read on the caliper whereas the ATE is in very small raised script about 1/3 of the way down from the top of the caliper but cannot be seen easily with the wheel installed.

    I also use R4S and find that they squeal, which they do not on my Audis.
