I called Lime Rock to ask if it's happening rain or shine and they said yes. Is that tru? No matter how hard it's raining?

What's the forecast looking like tomorrow?

Yes, they collect admission in the rain. They just don't necessarily race in all rainy conditions. They will "call" the race if the water gets too deep.

I heard this morning that today's rain will continue into the night and stop before morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be partly cloudy, drier, with a high of 80 degrees. We'll see.

Total bust out today, maybe saw cars on the track for about 15 minutes, then they cancelled the whole day.

You boyz do your thing. Heard Lime Rock is a lot of fun, but just not my thing. Should be a lovely drive though.

I'll console myself with a 6:50am tee-off at The Links At Union Vale.

See some of you playas you-know-when.

The track hasn't being repaved for ever. In the race, the race line is more slippery than hot oil.

Well, Friday (the 8th) was a wash out.........what do you guys think about Saturday?? Is there special parking area on the lower infield for our Ferraris, or do we have to park in the upper field?? I went to the fall festival last year and had to park up there. Every time someone drove in the entrance to the field, the dust kicked up and covered the cars. People who parked there and left their ragtops down must have spent hours cleaning their interiors.

    Jim,

I've gotta believe the grassy area of the paddock was a small pond and the unpaved paddock area was a mud bog based on previous rainy events. If they called off the track activity it must have rained quite a lot.

The place should dry out pretty well by mid morning.

Are you thinking of coming up too?

Last year they had a special area on the upper field between the paddock access road and the paved section of the lot. With the rain today I doubt you could buy dust tomorrow.

I was hoping to drive up in the 412 P. If it's too muddy I'll bring the Maser.

Rain is supposed to stop by 1am, track should dry out or be dry enogh to race. Parking area may be a bog though, it all depends on when rain stops and whther there is any sun tomorrow.

Rain is supposed to stop within the next few hours and my hope is that things will dry out (relatively) by tomorrow.

It was great fun. Happy to see some of you out there... You should have waited another 30 mins and everybody from the Sunoco Paddock could bring his car to the track for couple laps.
