Production date = April 1991

Concerning production dates and serial numbers, my mechanic tells me that the VIN serial numbers were not sequentially assigned, which agrees with the "out of order" records so far. According to my mechanic, the real order of assembly is the number in the engine bay on the drivers side. Mine is 06785.

 

That's the point.

It comes with some unique changes that were presursors to the Challenge cars and SS...including Challenge race wheels, different rear lights(SS), F40 brakes, challenge logos on rear deck, CF seats(SS), front lip spoiler(SS) etc. I have had alot of Ferraris over the years, including a TR and an F40 and this is the one that's still with me. (I do miss the F40 though)...and of course a Tubi w/test pipes, body color lower paint and superchip ECU chips.

Tip of the week (if you ever have to carryout this operation)

Am I a grease monkey? Well I thought my mechanical skills were OK up until I tried to replace the leather straps for the tool kit. Drilling out the rivets I went a little too far and punctured the flexy AC hose immediately behind. Be warned fellow 348 owner/mechanics as I'm sure this is not recorded in the archives!! Motto "Always Keep your tool protected!!"
