A yellowbird! That car is a CLASSIC! There's a famous video of one flying around the ring online :) The driver of course is in jeans and tennis shoes.

Yes .. I do. And, does anyone know the title of the video that's been discussed here, I'd like to find the video and download it.

Oh, and WriterGuy, if you have a Playstation 2 ... get the game. There are numerous camera settings you can control. From shutter speed (to determine how much "blur" the car's movement creates and how much blur the spinning wheels create), to depth of field based on aperature, focal length, and distance to subject. Vignetting correction, exposure compensation, warming filters, white balance adjustment ... the list goes on. It's nice being able to combine two of my hobbies into 1 sit-down =)

Go over any jump in that car and being rear engined it will land rear wheels first.

That corner there is the first left after the front straight at Seattle, the one that leads you onto the uphill. I was going for photo/style points during those 3 laps so I got the car setup to oversteer quite a bit. I was already sideways as I dove towards the apex where the front wheels smacked the inside curbing. I hadn't set the car up for Seattle, there wasn't enough ride height to go curb jumping so it bounced the front end up into the air. The luckiest part was actually hitting the "select" button at JUST the right time to get that shot.

I showed it to my shooting buddy who races a low 9-second Grand National and daily drives a 10-second T/A ... and his comment was, "Cool, but if you were going for your NHRA license you would have failed. Never steer while the front-end isn't on the ground, it has nasty results when you land." I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't during a "launch" =)
