F-chatters you've met and that you'd like to meet...

I forgot to say I also met Mr.Triumph.

 

I'm kinda new to the board. But there are two people in particular I would like to meet and under the following circumstances:

MM and ART, the two mortal enemies on F Chat! I'd like to meet them for a couple of days at the place we have on a chain of lakes in the middle of no where. It's located far up north at the U.P. Michigan/Wisconsin border.

It's absolutely beautiful up there, just dense forests and quiet lakes. Almost no other people. All you can do really is fish. Great Muskie/Walleye/Bass fishing up there. At night you sit in a cabin with no tv, no computers and eat, drink, talk, smoke, and sleep. It would just be MM, ART and me, in the middle of the wilderness.

What would happen? How would MM and Art react? What would they say to each other? They might come away actually liking each other... then again they might kill each other. Either way, it could be the making to a great movie!

 

you may want to get in touch with Malfark, a regular poster in the european and UK section. he used to live for quite a time in south africa and is visiting this country regularly.

I'd like to meet MIke. I've met so many of the guys, and I've liked just about every one of them. Jim (Glickenhouse) was an absolute great guy, had lunch with him, and he'd taken the time to show me the construction of the p3/4, what a great car. Is that the only street legal P3/4 in the world? I suspect so.

By the way mike, are you paying for the accomodations? hehehe

I've been lucky enough to meet quite a few of the guys over here in Europe...but unfortunately nobody yet from the US. Would love to spend an evening on the beers with the Wayne Ausbrooks's and Old Guy's of the vintage section....I thought I knew about old race cars....these guys are in another league....

Edit...just remebered...I have met ICARS (and a load of other crazy texans ) at a Maserati Event in Italy about 4 years ago.

I am flattered Art, however, as I recently moved from the Bay Area (the political climate was way too left for me) it may be harder to meet. I don't know how you can stand it some days, don't the liberals get to you?

Good thread!

I don't have to many Fchatters close by so the majority I met was in New Orleans at the event last year. I had a hell of a time teamed up with Carbon for three days of Ferrari's and partying. It was a blast Carb and I still got to make it up to Atlanta. I'd say come down here but we'll talk about that after this hurricane.
RyAlex or Ryan-it was great to party with you as well. Thanks for the advice and congratulations again with the baby. Hope to meet again someday.
Dave328-Thanks so much for the hospitality while I was over that way. That ride back from the track event will never be forgotten. If I don't make it over there this year watch out for the antifreeze on the track. Give me a call sometime!

I've had a great experience every time I'm with a group of Fchat members - what an amazing collection of people!
