It was tough they were both premature and one was much smaller than the other. Actually the one stayed in the hospital for about a month after the other was released. Everything is okay now but his life has never been the same since...in a good way! Busy is not the word! Between running a business and taking care of the family it is tough work, but that is where friends and family come in. If Jan and I ever get the urge to have kids we just go over for a few hours and are glad we can leave when we want to! :) Life gets put into perspective when you have kids (I don't but I can see it in my friends).

Congratulations! I am the very proud father of twin 25 year old sons. It has been the greatest joy of my life to be a dad and have two at a time to enjoy. Yes, it was tough in the early years but now with them grown, it is the best of times. One son is married and the other engaged. My daughter-in-law and future daughter-in-law are the best. We speak nearly every day and enjoy traveling together, hanging out, driving, riding the bikes and just being together. Life will never be the same, but you won't miss the old life for a minute! Children are a blessing from God!!!!!!! I'm very happy for you. BTW: We went through the issues with premature babies and thought we would never survive, it was more than worth it.

Thank you very much. These comments make my wife and I feel much better. We do feel very blessed and I can only imagine right now how it is going to feel to just look into their eyes. It is a very overwhelming feeling to do with just one child but now with the twins I can somewhat imagine what it is going to feel like x2

Thank you very much everyone for the well wishes and all of the advice. It has helped us get over the shock of being told "You are going to have twins". Ferrarichat is truly a special place were one of a kind friendships are made. Again Thanks

You wife is having a litter!

I have a twin sister. Medical advances have really made having twins a worry free experience compared to what it was when I was born in the 70's.
They'll probably have your wife sleep on a different side each night so both the young'ns get food and stuff.

The only way I will ever reproduce would be to have twins, even if we have to have science help the "conception" along. My sister and I couldn't be more different but having a twin is a very comforting thing.
