    While replacing all the fuel lines on my 77 308 I noticed what looks like a heater hose leaving the rear bank cylinder head & going over drivers side gas tank & disappear. Is this a heater hose & anyone replace it? where does it go?

    It's the vacuum line for the brake booster. It has a one way valve in it pretty close to the engine. Pull the one way valve out after a drive. If you get a nice pop as it sucks air into the line forward of the valve, the line is holding a vacuum and it's fine.
