Thanks Wolfgang. Postings like your one are the BEST motivation to do it again. Uwe and me still have decided to do again next year (not having a brake like in 2004). We also have to thank the members of the jury, Keith - Marcel - Andreas - Jean-Louis and Gregor. They did a bloody good job and have choosen the most beautifull / original cars. A BIG THANK YOU also to our Award sponsors - Cavallino / USA - Scuderia / Japan - Ferrari Market Letter / USA - Berlinetta magazine / France - Schedoni s.r.l. / Italy - Ferrari Model Club e.V. / Germany - DeKa Bank / Luxemburg - Moet & Chandon / France - Fotorissima / France - Bigtime Entertainments / Great Britain - Ferrari World magazine / Germany - DaCabrio magazine / Germany Also THANKS to the official MEDIA photographers and camera crews RTL Motorsport and VOX, the Nurburgring marshalls who did a perfect job, the owners of each single car and everybody who is not mentioned here. We'll be back in 2006 Helmut Schnug / event manager [email protected]
Brilliant pictures Wolfgang. Looks like it was an amazing event. But I keep seeing the Alfa 33 Stradale in the background, but no closeups?
I`ll be back 2006!!! With a better race car and better breaks Mr. Uwe Meissner can be very proud of you! Amazing what you have arranged and done. Sitting together onThursday night (DORINT bar) with Joren, DB, The ENZO Club dudes, Modena Crew......everybody was talking so friendly and with respect about you and the work you have done. Unbelievable how many Race car drivers do you personal know and brought together for this event!? At least, it was ONE huge family! Never got this feeling before on an event / track day like this. THANK YOU!
Finally you bring your loved F50 to the scene of the Modena Days and then you end up in the third row!
yeah, and what it worth. Forget about this. I drove the RADICAL SR3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats the one for the track and even road legal!!!!! -500kg!!! -250PS We killed EACH car on the track with it! 360CS, 360 Challenge, Enzo, F50.....a.s.o. we got them all on the break! Check out: www.radical-deutschland.de
Hehe... you finally saw a Radical Wolfgang? Do you remember i posted more then a year ago a pic from such Radical on a trackday at Spa? You thought it was a funny car! Don't think you laugh with these cars now heh? They are unbelievable fast!!!! The ultimate track car!!! You can even get more powerfull versions then that "pathetic" 250 PS version!!! Tell us more about the driving experience, was it difficult, hard, twitchy,... Hope one day i'll also get the chance to drive one!!
@Guy, the "pathetic" SR3 is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! I drove the SR3 and I drove the 288GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, Diablo, Diablo SV, all Porsches & Beeeemers.....forget allt his crap!!! On the track there is only 1 King - The Radical SR3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F.E.: Breaking point on the track for a F50 is at 200m for the 360 challenge at 150m (coming down the straight with 220km/h). For the Radicaol at 60m!!!!!!! What else should I say? 0 - 100km/h in 3 seconds! I`m in touch with the guys and will be over in the UK next week....tell you more about next week. The SR8 or even the SR9 for the Le Mans 2006 race is just way tooo much! The SR3 has a 2.5G force; the SR8 4.5G!!!!! The downforce....damn can`t describe it. Once again and I swore you, killed each Super Sport Car on the track with the SR3 (I don`t wanna know about SR8 or even SR9!!!!!!! Yea, I want to get one of this!
I was only kidding about the "pathetic" 250 PS Wolfgang!!! 250 PS is more then enough for such a light car!!!! I do know what an unbelievable car those Radicals are!!! It really is the best track car money can buy!!! Like you say: it corners and brakes like hell!! The only downside is: it may be roadlegal, i don't think you can use it like you can use your Testa for example! And for only doing trackdays with it.... it's still alot of money for my pocket! If i had all the money in the world, this car would definitely be part of the garage! Please keep us updated about your plans!!! You really gonna buy one? That would be awesome!!!
Nice pics! But i would love to see more pics of those 2 amazing Alfa's. Can't somebody start a new thread with only pics of these absolute dream cars?
Simply great pics and stories in all Modena Track Days related threads guys! Really looks like the event of a lifetime with a huge collection of great cars and people having a wonderful time. IMO seeing and reading all this is actually a bit depressing for the ones that couldn't make it to this event actually Can't believe I missed all this, simply because I had to "waste" my time at work again!
WOW..buddy Wolfgang, you took more pics that I could ever imagine good job man. Thanx for sharing those great pics with all those who sadly missed THE event of the year PP
Thanks Jim, yes driving on the track are other rules. Our cars are realy not built for that fun. Speed up to 220km/h, break down hard to 60km/h, speed up again to 160km/h,break down.....a.s.o. every few seconds/minutes. Thats why the break fluid cooked like hell, the pads went down and the discs turned blue just after 20 minutes track time.
Here is another wonderful shot I received last night from "eordavid" new fchat.com member here. Thanks for the pic Image Unavailable, Please Login
