Sunday, August 21st 2005. Xtreme Events is proud to present the 3rd annual Newport Run! Judging by the amazing turnout of the Cape Run in June, this promises to be the best Xtreme Event yet. A large turnout by local car clubs and web forums is expected, representing some of the greatest automotive marques in the world. This event will truly be a ride to remember. Our destination is the Atlantic Beach Club, in Newport, RI for lunch. We will then take a scenic drive past some of Newport's famous Mansions and Coastline. There will be many great photo spots along the way. Camera use is highly encouraged. Thank you to everyone who attended in June, I hope to see you all again for this special event! DETAILS DATE: SUNDAY AUGUST 21st 2005 TIME: Please arrive at the South Shore Plaza between 1015 and 1045 for an 11am departure. START: South Shore Plaza, Braintree, MA We will meet in the rear parking lot (behind macy's) STOP: The Atlantic Beach Club, in Newport, RI for GREAT food and EXCELLENT conversation and more importantly a great showing of beautiful cars. END: A scenic drive past some of Newport's historical mansions, on to the coastline for a photo shoot. Route maps and directions will be distributed to the drivers at the start of the event. Please post here or PM me if you are interested in joining us, or have any other questions. Video cameras are encouraged! Be sure to capture this very rare event of so many exotic, expensive and nice cars all on tape! Thanks! I look forward to seeing you all there. Below are some pictures from our last Newport Run. NEWPORT RUN 2005 UPDATES: *THE RAIN DATE FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE SUNDAY, AUGUST 28th, 2005* I have a call in to the Newport Inn across the street from the Atlantic Beach Club to secure a parking lot that will accomodate our cars. We have used this lot in the past, there is an attendant on duty, and it is safe. The cost is $20.00 per car. There is less expensive parking available, but it is further away from the restaraunt. We have changed the route from last year. It will be a longer drive, some of it highways and some of it back roads. I think everyone will enjoy the new route. I look forward to seeing everyone in August. Alex
I have spoken to the Atlantic Beach Club, who are happy to host us for a brunch buffet. They will set aside a room for our group. They will also try to accomodate all of our cars in their parking lot at no charge. Alex
Hey Alex.... Thanks for the invitation... How many Ferrari's are you expecting this run? Looks like a lot of Vipers from last year. Any Lambo's? Just curious! Brandon
Brandon, There should be a good turnout for this run. Mark (Zan) may bring his Diablo VT Roadster. I will have my TR of course, and a few other Ferrari owners from other forums have been invited. If your group joined us, you would definately increase the F-Car presence. Also represented will be Lotus, Porsche, AMG, BMW M, Corvette, Viper, etc. It should be a great mix of some fantastic cars! Hope you guys can make it! Alex
Alex, Not sure who from our North Shore group will show up, but so far, I am planning to attend. I will ask the guys this Sunday and alert them to your thread if they have not already seen it. Brandon
T Minus One Week! I would like to get a master list of people attending, so I may inform the Atlantic Beach Club of an accurate head count. Please post here if you are planning on attending this event, and have not already posted. We have confirmed multiple Ferraris, Lamborghini, BMW Ms, AMG Mercs, Vipers, Lotus, etc. Sincerely, Alexander Jarvie http://xtremecleancars.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=469&start=0

Weather.com is predicting rain beginning at 9:00am. Check back for an update tommorow morning, or you can call me at 781-331-4700. I would like to proceed as long as the weather is good, and everyone still wants to go. I guess we will have to see if nature co-operates. Alex
Weather.com predicts a 50% chance of rain at best. http://www.weather.com/activities/travel/vacationplanner/weather/fcst-hrly.html?locid=02184&from=36hr_topnav_vacation This is still a go. See you guys soon!
50% Chance of Rain became 100% in minutes. It has started to rain. I will be at the starting point as planned this morning, and see what everyone wants to do. The raindate is next Sunday, August 28th. The event could be pushed until then if need be. Alex
