I just returned from a 4 week road trip starting in Palm Beach, Fl. We went up I-75 through Georgia on our way to Chicago. Then taking I-90 / I-94 West to Glacier National Park in Montana. We then went North in to Canada to Banff and Jasper before going southwest to Vancouver / Victoria Brithish Columbia. Going south along US101 for the Washington and Oregon coast before going East to Park City Utah. Then going through southern Utah, Colorado, east through North Carolina and retunrning via I-26 and I-95. Total of 10,500 miles.
Anyone care to guess how many and which model Ferrari's were seen? (A written account has been kept). It is very surprising to me. The answer will be posted Monday.

I'm guessing low, because you went through some pretty sparsely populated areas. But maybe you stopped at every dealer...

And they were all 355's and 360's.

8, and I'll submit that most of them were in Palm Beach.

    328
    355

I'll go out on a limb and say that you saw a 288 GTO for kicks. :)

Was Richard Losee present? Sound right up his alley!

    I'll guess 15, probably 550s, 308s, 355s, 360s, maybe a 430?

I wish. We (my wife, three kids and I) were in a new Honda minivan. It was okay until the rear audio stopped working forcing me to hear Pooh's Heffalump movie through the regular car stereo speakers. On a future thread I will give my top 5 roads for Ferrari drives that were travelled on during this trip.

I'll guess none, zero, nil. I have been on the road for almost four weeks and haven't seen any. My route was from the Oregon coast, up to route 90, across to Chicago, then to Upstate New York, then down 95 to Washington DC, Down 95 to Florida, up 75 and am currently in Atlanta Georga. Haven't seen a one. I was in DC for a week too.

I'm thinking you might have planned your trip to coincide with FCA events everywhere you went and you saw Hundreds of them!! Could have seen close to 100 last weekend in Seattle alone!

I'm guessing 245! What can I say, I'm an optimist sometimes.

No special rules, and there is no trick like the plan to go to Ferrari dealers, shows or anything like that. I thought it would be interesting to see if the number I thought I would see was accurate so I decided to keep track while on the road.

    And the answer is ...
    TWO!
A red 360 in Park City, uT
A Yellow 360 on I-70 in Colorado West of Denver.

I was expecting to see maybe 12 with mostly 360 and 355 models and maybe a 328 / 308 / 348 / TR. To me this is a true testament to the exotic aspect of Ferrari's in general.

Living in the Palm Beach area I have gotten used to seeing Ferrari's at least weekly, but I can see why in most of the country seeing one in action is a rare site indeed.

    You saw a 348, a 355 and a 360. Three.

No Lamborghinis, no Lotus', maybe a Maserati, maybe an Aston Martin? Naaa...

    And 5678 Porsches!
