Which way does the F430's crank rotate when viewed from the rear? I'd think that it's counter-clockwise from videos I've seen but I don't actually know.

If it turns clockwise viewed from the front, it would be counter clockwise from the rear.

How do you know that, do you own an F430?

Viken doesn't need to own a stinking 430 -- he knows just about everything Ferrari. He's the best! :)

Well if it is clockwise from the front, it would be counterclockwise from the rear.

And it is CW from the Front BTW

F430 engines, or every single 4 stroke engine that has ever been produced ever?

OK, now that I've cooled off for a second, thank you for the answer. Looks like I've got a future after all. Richard, If you have something to say, say it to me, not through someone else!

you don't even have an F430! So you wouldn't even know! I've seen a few F430's and I can say that it is clockwise in the front and in the back, but in the Southern hemisphere, it is counter clockwise in the front and counter clockwise from the back.

How can it be both counterclockwise in the front AND the rear? That's counterproductive

Don't they say "anti-clockwise" rather than "counterclockwise" in Oz?

"Anti-clockwise" is used more commonly than "counterclockwise" in my experience.

Oh... that makes me wonder... in the southern hemisphere might their cranks turn the opposite direction, similar to water draining from the tub?

And it's nice to see KF thinking "outside the box." :)
