I recently purchased a set of Epsilon wheels for my 1986 328. I'm having a problem with the rear wheels. I bolted them on and it seems like the wheel bolts protrude too far into the hub. I tried to back the car out of the garage and noticed some resistance after moving about 1 foot. I removed the wheel and noticed that one of the bolts had a bright spot on it, indicating it came in contact with something inside the rear hub.
I guess the easiest thing to do would be to get wheel spacers. I want to use the wheels for track events. Would there be any problems with spacers?
I haven't tried the fronts yet, but anticipate a similar problem.
Anyone have any experience with the Epsilons on a 328.
    Thanks,
    Will

P.S. The Epsilons look like BBS three peice mesh wheels.

Don't use spacers unless you need/want spacers anyway to get the wheels to fill out the wells. Otherwise, get proper (shorter) lug bolts. Since it's just for track, your least expensive way to go is to get them from HR ($5.50 each from www.ecstuning.com/HR/}; you can easily trim them to the length you need if they don't have what you want.

someone on the board posting pictures of their 308 with wheel spacers. It really brought the wheels out to the lip line.
I guess the question is, is it a safe practice to run the car with wheel spacers?
I had a horrible experience a long time ago with my old 396 Chevelle. All but one of the studs sheared off. By running spacers, is it likely to cause the bolts to shear or snap?
    Thanks,
    Will
