Dale You were a fairly ordinary allright bloke allbeit with a 70's funny mullet before you got a Ferrari now you have changed into the custodian of a museum piece frightened to go out in case it rains, bring back the old Dale BF
Surely any visit to a FOC event imediately returns the annual membership fee. The track days are exceptional , the recent conkers had some very special cars attending, the magazines are packed with interesting stories from arond the globe. brilliant club ,well run no hidden agenda,s just pure Ferrari enthusiasm.
the FOC is an old boys club fergy tea arse and twotoomany are all pensioners give it another 10 years then i might join
no its still for sale, aint house equity great ,thing is our lass wants some new t!ts seen as got 2 toys ,so have told her ive used all the equity up ,ha ha
So, if you don't do track days, you think attending the concourse and 6 b&w magazines is worth £80? Look, I said at the start that this was not meant as a channel for yet another argument about what you get from the club. I did not think it was particularly great value for money as I don't do track days and live "up north", away from many of the big events... but I have now experienced a benefit that has made it, in my view reasonable value for money... hence I was telling people of this particular benefit. The Owners Club is indeed very well run and full of genuine enthusiasts who give a lot of their own time for those members that don't or cannot, that has never been in question. (and I have two nice FOC stickers that look very smart in the rear side windows of the uber-cruiser! )
Obviously if your,re not going to take advantage of your subscription and you " live up North" away from the events, I know get in the Ferrari and drive it to the events. I know it,s a novel idea to actually drive the car but give it a go.
Ray us "old Boys" know how to really get the most out of a Ferrari and membership to to THE FERRARI OWNERS CLUB. The trips we had abroad in convoys of 10 Ferraris on occasions, all over Europe. Nurburgring, Venturi testing track, Paul Rickard, Mas Du Clos The Bardinon Ferrari Collection, The factory and so much more.......back in the old days .................. and racing Ferrari that was pretty special especially Spa I would have jioned earlier , at a youger age but i could,nt afford a Ferrari. Ray Ferrari are working on a stabiliser system for the "elderly" to assist in "taking corners at speed " have you enquired about . It may be available on your new 430
Thanks for your concern Twotomany I am collecting the said car from the factory so will enquire while i am there ,no doubt i will post some pictures M8 RAY360M
