Is anyone going to this today???
In the hangar: Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Barracuda, Greg Norman's Gulfstream 550, Piaggio, Javelin, A700 and more. Many determined exhibitors even with the rain. Plenty of food. Did not stay long.
I didn't see a 550, but I did see that yellow 911 turbo. It is to bad that it had to rain hard, it was still good.
I was going to display my TT Viper at the SUNFREE booth, the rain scared me off. Something about driving a 1000hp Viper ... in the rain just does not sit well with me.
Bill, just turn that wing into a rudder and you'll be just fine! Are you coming to the Denver show next Thursday ? Roland F40LM
That would be the show at larimer square that weather permitting I will be attending as well see rolands post for more info -A
It's at Centennial Airport. Invitation only, or so they say. I'm sure you could probably talk your way in if you wanted to, though.
Yes, and I will be there with the LM just coming back from Monterey !! The Sunday, it's Breckenridge for supporting Nostalgia in their effort to get a track going there. I'll do that one too, they need your support if we want a track like we had in Steamboat. Roland F40LM
Norman got rid of the G-V (black paint) and bought the G-550 (red paint). I guess he needed a little bit more. The yacht/helicopters are down in Ft. Lauderdale. His merchandise/apparel lines seem to be doing very well. It is nice to see him and others come to Colorado for a few rounds.
That one, but also the one that was last Thursday was invite only, too. At least that's what the invitation said, anyway.
Are you sure he just didn't paint the G-V? Doesn't make any sense (to me, at least) to spend all the money on a G-550 when you already have a G-V. A 550 doesn't get you much more. Maybe he did, though, I don't know. The yacht was sold to Wayne Huizenga and is now named Floridian, though. Norman might be building another, but is yachtless at the moment, I believe. As for his business, you're right that he's doing quite well for himself. EDIT: I stand corrected, it is a G-550. I still don't get it, but to each his own. It's GN's money to spend as he sees fit.
I have many friends who will just roll down to the show. I don't know if they could get in with their cars but the display will be cool to see. This is our town, let's show the car world that we have more than 4x4 and tarctors. I could bring that too !!! Roland F40LM
It's more of an "Import" type show called Mazda Extreme Street. It is a part of the Grand Prix of Denver festivities.
