Taillight Bulb Replacement - 512bbi Boxer

The manual is not clear, and the car is new to me. Is there a simple way to replace the tailight bulbs, including the turn signal bulbs, on this car? It appears that there is a box covering the lights from the engine compartment, that can be removed, but I was hoping one could simply remove a tail light lense, and bingo, out pops the old bulb, in goes the new.

Any help would be appreciated.
