Really shouldn't be any oil. Carefully depress the fuel distributor's plate & look to see if there's also oil in the bottom of the distributor.

Most likely you've got a problem with something clogged in the oil vapor recovery system & recovered oil isn't draining back into the crankcase. Time to remove the hoses & recovery unit & clean everything. Be sure to take pictures & make drawings of where all the hoses go. It's easy to forget & misconnect hoses to the recovery unit.

Figure out some way to clean the old deposits from the inside of the hoses, or replace the hoses.

Use mineral spirits, or a citrus solvent. Either are safe for the oil resistant hoses. If you use citrus solvent, make sure the hoses are thoroughly drained & dry before reassembly. Don't use lacquer thinner, acetone, etc. as they're too aggressive & can damage the hoses.

I had the same problem, you've been putting to much oil in the car and it is blowing our of the crankcase breather tubes into the fuel distrbutor. Clean your air cleaner housing too.

my guess is you have an air leak into the oil vapor recovery system. Since the oil vapor system bypasses the air filter element, a leak is an easy airflow path and it will pull oil along with the air.

The most likely place is the oil drain hose that runs from the bottom of the oil vapor separator canister (bolted to the bell housing) to the sump.

On the 308, this hose makes a right angle bend where it connects to sump.
With age, heat, and oil deterioration, the hose cracks at the bend.

Look above where the shift shaft enters the oil pan...that where the drain hose bends/connects.

Wheather an air leak or clogging, it's most likely vapor recovery related.

Yes, the oil vapor recovery system is intended to provide crankcase ventilation & vent 'blow-by'. It's supposed to separate out the oil & return it to the crankcase, while any residual vapors get run thru the throttle body & burned with the gas.
