so Scud, as a person who has never exceeded the speed limit I have no idea what high speed is like, so tell us poor plebs who are too scared to speed what FAST is REALLY like .........

Does the earth stop at these speeds, do you senses diminish, do you become a hideous monster, are you a child murderer, etc ?

This is what the nanny brigade are saying so you must be able to tell us if this is true now :D

Sounds like I missed out on a great trip :( You do realise that all the stone chips etc are going to come back at the next track day?

JG post a pic of the front of the CS to show stephen the damage. 5 years worth of track days still wouldn't come close to this display

    Wow, that damage is nasty.

I wonder if it would be the same after regular autobahn use.

thought we would keep the 'incidental' costs low profile... i've got some great close-ups of the pelican stripe and the GT2 window i took just before going back on the truck...

I'll have to post a pic of the front of mine. I do a lot of sprints, where you are racing other cars, well "gentlemans" racing anyway. The lower section of the spoiler, which is not protected by the 3M film is littered with chips, even though it was only resprayed a few months back. Just shows the value of the 3M film in protecting the paint.
Good to see the cars got a serious work out though.
Did you get GPS/Radar readings on any of the highspeed runs, or was it speedo only?
We were just having a laught today at the dyno, at an indicated 270kmh, my car was actually doing just over 250kmh!

I think you'll find a similar problem with your lap timer...that is, saying you're going faster than you really are.

Relax Roger, it's all good :)
Maybe you guys should spend more time filling us in with what happened and posting pics, so we don't have the opportunity to go off topic!

Hardly any paint damage on the Gallardo for some reason. Just a few stone chips which I'll get touched up next week. Maybe I was too far back to cop any stones. :)

By choice I assume, I can't imagine the Gallardo was slower than the CS.
How did you fare against the GT2?

With a top speed over 330kph indicated on the Gt2, I would have had no hope. Mind you, I wasn't game to take mine to top speed, so I think it is down to driver as well as car in this situation.

Or better aerodynamic efficiency than a 360? ;)

How fast did you go? I would have pushed mine to the max. Just to see what it was capable of.
