The window switches have a BMW logo and part no. on them.
They are used on older 7 models as far as I know.
If some one has the number handy I can try to get them here in Germany.

I just replaced all 5 gas lifter on my hoods, took standard parts, drilled the holes out to 8.5mm and paid less for all than Ferrari charges for one. A K&N reusable filter is half price of the paper item, oil filter of same specification without the horse logo are not even 1/10th... brake pads all around $ 100 while Ferrari just puts a sticker on the same package and wants $ 750. They don’t even put them in a yellow box anymore! Lousy quality too.

It is going to become a sport to find parts which are not ridiculously overpriced.

I’m curios from what source the switch for the fuel flap is, as I have to operate it 10 times till it opens.
This is actually the only problem my Mondial has by now. Everything else works… took some time.

Interesting. I had to replace the gas lifter from the rear trunk lid last year. It had different dimensions and specs compared to those which are available as standard from Stabilo. I was informed that I can have them custom made by Stabilo, but the price was almost as high as at Ferrari and I didn´t wanted to wait 4 or more weeks ..

Where did you get your gas lifters?

I took Stabilus 082538 Lift-O-Mat 250 N which has 100mm stroke instead of 90mm and is a little less in diameter for the front and engine bay hood. It is no problem that they are 10mm more. Even more comfortable to have that little extra lift. No parts hit.

For the rear hood 084174 Lift-O-Mat 500 N Had to reposition the part on the hood by turning it 180° and drilling one new hole.

    100 Euros for all 5...

As it can be retrofitted, I see no problem that it is not original.

Sometimes the cheap replacement parts are much better quality than the expensive original. Took a Davis, Craig EBP 9001 for the stock electric water pump. It is hermetic sealed and has a magnetic clutch while the internals of the Bosch part rust away.
