Had mine checked today and found that the right rear toe was way off of factory specs -- reminds me of my GT3 experience. ;) The alignment in general could use a little tweaking. Camber was also off -- a little more negative camber can't hurt. :D

Thanks to Tom and the boys at Lucent Motors -- they took very good care of me and my 430. Those of you in So Cal (especially the LA area) in need of expert alignment/suspension work, Lucent Motors is the place to go.

Are you kidding me?! A brand spanking new car and the factory can't align it properly. What a joke.

That seems to be true of most Porsches also. Not that it excuses Ferrari at all.

Jack why not take it back to the dealer? Since it was just delivered, it should be covered under warranty.

BTW the color looks fabulous on the 430.

Did you have it lowered? Mine sits too high.

Eli there are a few pictures of an 430 Silver Spider in the 430 picture thread. Gorgeous! My order is in stage 20 and no changes are allowed.

Will, they all sit too high -- reminds me of my stock 996 Turbo. :) I had it lowered a bit -- we may do some fine tuning after we see how the suspension settles with more miles.

Nick, some things I like done under my control/supervioisn. I have a great alignment guy (Tom at Lucent Motors) that I've used for my GT2/3/Lotus, whether it be track or street setups. Tom allows me to get "involved" in the alignment process -- I gladly pay for this privilege. If I just wanted factory specs, I'd let the dealer do it, or rather, let them send it out, since they "sub out" their alignment jobs. Actually, upon further reflection....I'm too anal for that. ;)

Ferrari and their alignments are notoriously bad in my experience.

Further testimony to this is that on the F40 recall (current), to replace ALL the suspension pick up yokes, it is not even part of the recall job to check/adjust the alignment.

My dealer just did a car for me... and it came back with positive camber on one rear wheel.....

But I knew this and am actually grateful that they don't even try. I too, like it done my way.

I'm bad that way, but I'm sure there are a few other anal wack jobs out there in F-Chat land. ;) I've had a love affair with the automobile going back to childhood. As I got older, it only got worse. Like it says on the shirt my wife got me ...."Still Plays With Cars" :D .

Wattster -- NAAAAAH.....I had it trucked to Tom's shop. -=tongue=-
BTW, the CS alignment is off from the factory too. I assumed you knew that given your many track miles.

Will be in the Bu on Sunday morning with Amir, Coffeebean at around 8:45 after our early morning drive -- come on down from the Mount and sermonize us in person. ;) Dean might even be there in his drop top 430.

Be there or be square. :D
