Sitting here and explaining that you have a problem with Fchat is like having an AA meeting in a liquor store.

I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every F-chat troll that screwed to save its species. I wanted to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all the F-chat P&R threads I'd never read. I wanted to breathe smoke. I felt like flaming something beautiful.

My name is Andrew and I'm a FerrariChat addict. It's gotten to the point that when friends call me at home, one of the first questions they ask me is "Are you surfing on FerrariChat yet?"....to which the answer is always "Yes, I have been on for several hours already".

I have had the pleasure of meeting other FerrariChat addicts and I'm very glad to know that I'm not the only one with this disease.

I suggest setting up a toll-free hotline for those of us in denial or for those of us who need help with our addiction. 1-800-377-4248 (1-800-FRRICHT).

Oh who am I kidding, I'm sure the withdrawal symptoms would be much worse...

I friend invited me to try it once. Now I see I've done it over 250 times.

Bet I also know I'm not really addicted like some of the others who have done it 1,000's of times. I'm not hurting anyone and I can stop anytime I want. (after this one).

Looking for a FerrariChat Anonymous support group I googled "FCA" and it came back with this: http://www.ferrariclubofamerica.org/

Aagh! That was no help! It made me just want to come right back here and post some more!

    Varied forms of addiction
Physical dependency on F -CHATis defined by the appearance of characteristic withdrawal symptoms when F –CHAT is suddenly discontinued. While opioids, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, alcohol and nicotine are all well known for their ability to induce physical dependence, F-CHAT shares this property. So while physical dependency can be a major factor in the psychology of F-CHAT addiction, the primary attribute of an addiction to F –CHAT is its ability to induce euphoria while causing harm.
F -CHATshould not be suddenly stopped, and a doctor should be consulted before abruptly discontinuing.
There is also a lesser known situation called pseudo-addiction, where a member will exhibit F-CHAT-seeking behaviour reminiscent of psychological addiction, however in this case, the F-CHAT withdrawal tends to have genuine pain or other symptoms that have been undertreated. Unlike true psychological addiction, however, these behaviours tend to stop as soon as they log on.
