Telemarketers were supposedly allowed access to Cell Phone lists as of a few weeks ago, I have never gotten a call on ANY of my phones after signing up for the GOVERNMENTAL do not call list. Do it.

Riiiiigggghhht. It's only reputable marketers that subscribe to and honour the do-not-call list. The scammers, spammers, et al, couldn't give a ****.

So true, if you can find them before they high-tail it out of their temporary office space...

My clients play by the book.

"Do not call" seems to work. I was getting a few on cell and they stopped when I registered the number.

Yeah I can see how you see that, but they are actually quite smart. You and I may not be interested, but if they call enough people, which is REALLY cheap, they may get someone. If I remember, telemarketing works on 1% of the given population. Call the entire USA, and you can be making big bucks. Thats their logic.

Ahh..........telemarketers......... another form of pond scum............probably because the most you need in the education area is to find the numbers 1 - 0 on the phone. (just to lazy to get a real job)

The sad part is that the most money made in telemarketing was by the mci, AT@T, the insurance carriers, and the credit card companies. Most of the people doing carpet cleaning were just trying to do that! Carpet cleaning! If anyone was the scammer it was these big companies everyone does business with. But do people call them scammers. No! The real scammers were such a small % of the total calls, because they could not have 2k people on the phone at one time.

I think its funny that AT@T, sbc calls 20 times a month to get you to switch you to their lond distance, and when everyone complains about all these telemarking calls they invent the caller id something else to charge you 8.95 a month with.

    John,

I took the liberty of adding your name and number to the Lakers' fan club and season ticket info lines so when the Kobe calls start coming in, you'll be thanking me!

Mark gave me your number, bud! ;)

Have any of you ever bought anything off of these guys? or even know anyone who has?... I just wonder who keeps them in business, and who would trust someone who spends all day calling people that are eating dinner (time zones).

I thought there was some kind of ruling that since people pay for all airtime here (as opposed to other countries where yo udont pay for incoming calls), it was ruled illegal for sales calls to reach cell phones?

A lot of the newer cell plans here in the states are allowing free incoming calls.
