Yet another STUPID move of the day award goes to JPM - what a dumb ass cutting directly in front of Montiero - he deserved to spin and too bad Alonso didn't fly past him!! YES ----- Alonso puts pressure on Montoya he screws up and Alonso is in SECOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carol
Hmmm... So.. you give way to a blue flag, and when the passing car decides to cut you off, take all the air off your front wing, reducing your front downforce and effective braking.. And then you slam on your brakes? Not Tiago's fault.. in that he didn't do anything wrong. Good win for Kimi, and great P2 for Fred.
If you are searching for OBJECTIVE and highly thought out detailed analysis of F1 on this forum you are on the wrong site !!!!! Some members on this board shoot first then ask questions (and some don't ask any questions at all). Montoya had a bad front right tire. All you had to do is look at the in car at the tire and JPM's steering wheel fluttering. Remember .........most people on this forum have never set foot on race track or ever driven a race car. Their experience of racing is to put on all the driving aids, set the weather to sunny and select the no damage option on XBOX. Some people can only see red on this forum. Jon
results out...kimi won, 2nd alonso, 3rd montoya, 4th fisi, 5th button...could have been a 1-2 for mclaren, but montoya went wide at turn 8 on the final lap, making it possible for alonso to overtake him. as for michael, he overtook webber, but webber counter attacked, hitting schumi on the sidepods. webber himself damaged his front wing. both williams retired with tyre failures, the rear wing seems to be cutting the right rear tyre.. about rubens..i dunno wat to say...if he's really driving or wat...a dissapointing 10th.. both the red bulls finished 7th and 8th... regards...
Great race... Michael would have been on the podium if it was not for THE RETARDED KANGAROO! Ferrari 1 - 2 at Monza in 2 weeks!!!!!
Final Results: 1. KR 2. FA 3. JPM 4. GF 5. JB 6. JT 7. DC 8. CK 9. TS 10. RB 11. JV 12. RS 13. RD 14. NK 15. TM 16. CA 17. MS 18. NH 19. FM 20. MW
Anyone else notice that the Finnish flag was hung upside down on the podium??? Second race this season with that type of glitch. Carol Seeing red on this forum?? it's Ferrari based or am I missing something?? Impy - you made me laugh with your comment a couple posts back. Have a great day in the UAE.
What are you talking about ! He would have lapped the entire field .... pulled into the pits for change of clothes and a cup of coffee and still won by 30 seconds ! You're loosing you faith in him simply stating he would have gotten a podium. Do I sense some doubt in your support of MS ? Jon
A podium for sure and and a good chance of winning the race. Michael had an extremely fast lap time before Webber decided to end his race. The FIA should ban Webber for remainder of the season. Webber could have cost Michael the championship with his inability to think today!
I'm sorry Imperial, but both incidents that you are so fuming about are not the fault of the people you blame. MS/MW: MW was a much faster car than MS (look at the lap times), and the faster car should always be able to pass. Not to mention MS put quite a block on him just before that corner. If MW had a faster car, he has every right to pass MS. Maybe Michael shouldn't be so agressive with a car thats a lap down, but much faster than he is? JPM/TM: JPM cut off TM going into the corner, then slammed on the brakes. There was no place for TM to go. IMO, JPM is damn lucky that he was still able to drive away and finish 3rd. Had he had a DNF because of that, he would have been in some deep doo doo from Mr. Dennis. OMG, JPM is sitting here whining about getting "punted" by the Jordan. Well Juan, if you hadn't brake-checked the **** out of him, he wouldn't have hit you! Would it have killed you to take a slightly different line to safely make the pass? Stop complaining, you're competly to blame for that one.
You know if the FIA took your recommendations MS would still have a realisitic chance at the title. Let's see.........Kamikazze Sato would have been banned by the 2nd race of the season, Dumbass Montoya would have been banned by the 3rd race for nearly killing someone, Webber would be gone for having the gaul to pass a 7 time World Champion in a faster car, Ralph would be gone, ...................... Jon
[imperial83 logic]Michael could have won today driving Massa's Sauber after the engine failed, using the flat Michelin's taken off of the Williams.. all while having a root canal without painkillers.. [/imperial 83 logic] Seriously. I have a great deal of respect for Michael and Ferrari, hence my participation in this forum. Best comment of the day - "Webber could have cost Michael the championship with his inability to think today" Exactly what secret championship is Michael racing for that he has control of to lose? Webber was a racin' deal. Acknowledge and move on, imperial. Best of luck at Monza. My prediction- Better hope for rain, or no red cars in the points.
Perhaps we shoudl just ban the entire field, so MS can win the WC by default? Personally if anyone should be banned, its the Sauber fuel rig guy. He's gonna blow himself up if he keeps refueling cars that are ON FIRE!!!! Its funny how as soon as I saw the smoke blow out the engine, I immediatly thought "Is the fuel guy still fueling the car, I wonder?". Then I looked over and saw him still standing there, fueling away and thought "Give it up son! She's done blowed up!"
As Varsha stated there are three drivers in contention for the championship after today and one of the is MS. That's good news for ending today's events. (The GP2 race today was a good one for those who may not have watched it. - someday the Roseberg kid will be driving for Ferrari). It's been a wonderful weekend of cars - the race today and we had a tremendous day yesterday with our combined poker run/q&a rally for our Fort Worth Mercedes Benz Club. We had a great turn-out and everyone had fun. Until Monza . . . (time to get on the net to search for last minute cheapie airfares to Milan!) Carol
Highly doubtful. Rosberg Sr. managed Hakkinen and also helps manage Kimi. Rosberg Sr. and Norbert Haug/Ron Dennis are buddies and vacation together in Spain. I think Rosberg Jr. has McLaren written all over him. Jon
So much for my career as a seer. It seems that using the wing end plates for camber control doesn't work. (doh) So much for high attrition -- only the puncture twins, Massa who thought he was starting an off-road rally (the Ferrari mill doesn't usually cut loose like that), and Mr. Grumpy. (Oh, and the pit queen Minardi -- who still did more laps than Schumi) And now for another perspective: Have we seen before where Mr Grumpy accidentally on-purpose shunts into somebody when he doesn't stand a chance anyway? Why yes. Maybe he was having a flash-back to Australia and punting Heidfield. (Maybe the Williams color scheme interferes with Schumi's depth perception?) Oh, by the way Pablum: The Jordans qual'd 4 sec off the pace -- ya think mebbe some of it was that they don't brake as quick? (Even without you stealing their air for downforce.) I can see it now: Ron Dennis hands JPM a ticket to the nearest "moto-tennis" park.
