In all honesty (and with some hindsight) it might have been better for Mike not to mention this at all on the public board. If it is someone who is a regular lurker on FChat, they're probably quite pleased with themselves about all of the attention this is getting, much like the sick mind that commits a crime and gets off on reading about it in the newspaper the next day.

Like any troll, they're looking for attention and this paid off in spades. Unfortunately, I can't help but feel that this will happen again in order to feed that need in the future.

Yes but I thought the question now is whether or not the culprit's a fellow F-chatter?

His 550 was in the middle of a large group of other 550s,did not look any different then the others ,so there was no reason to be vandalized at random.
On the other hand Mike has a number of adversaries on the P&R section who happen to frequent Ferrari events ,too.
I would make a large bet it was one of these losers......

Mike is correct about an FChatter damaging his car IMO, it was personal as to the degree and severity of the key job, someone keyed the hell out of it and took a sick pleasure in it, a random vandal would not have spent as much time and risk being caught damaging the car to the full extent it was.

Settle down Bob, I am saying a person may be learning to take their differences out of a verbal stage into a physical one, much like the people that daydream of torturing things think about it for a long time first, then they try it out on something small, then something larger....
This vandal may be a jerk that is just becoming more brazen. And no, scratching a 550 is not like hurting an animal. But to some, it is probably worse. Goota go, a cheesesteak is calling my name for lunch!

I'm not upset, just mystfied by the equation.

I'm not familiar with how the minds of the Jeffery Dahmer types work. Do you have some special insights here?

    Just kidding .

As far as "police activity" goes: Good ****;in luck. They won't do a damn thing about it. I had the windshield on my H2 shot out last summer, I called the city police and they told me to "fill out a report." I've never heard a thing after that. Cops are clowns.

Funny though. My hummer was parked on the street with about 100 other cars at a graduation party, yet mine was the only one vandalized! Believe me, this guys car was targeted by some chicken sh;t c0ck sucker. Pry can't afford a real Ferrari, let alone a fiero replica so they decide to ruin this guys car to feel better about themselves.

Just remember this vandal: He actually owns a Ferrari and isn't a pu55y.

I really doubt that a witch keyed his car.
