For $6,400 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1981-Ferrari-308GTB-i-Classic-Exotic_W0QQitemZ4570898717QQcategoryZ6212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem So if this wasn't a scam and the guy made a mistake in the buy it now price, would he legally have to sell it to me?
It's gone. I just bought it Seriously, buy it and then have NNO go check it out and if it's BS or a scam, you don't send the money.
You have to be a 'qualified' bidder to make a bid. I assume there is some strange requirement to sign some other agreement to bid (which would make the selling price more realistic). If this is not a scam, it looks like a real bargain! BT
Same old scam....you have to contact him to be able to bid, then he tells you the real price, or how to send money overseas.................
I live in Conyers and just e-mailed the seller to call me. If he does I'll go look at the car and report back.
Oooh. Didn't see that. It's probably a scam then. The vin looked real enough and the description seemed legit. I did not notice that part, though. I did go through the items in the seller's feedback and it's a wierd mix. However, most stolen eBay identities have tons of feedback and his doesn't, so I thought maybe it was legit.
Please report back either here or by PM. I know its a scam, but if in the magical possibility that it is real call me at 949-633-6394. I will send cash over right away!
Sometimes people will use the "qualified bidder" technique to get buyers without having to pay the eBay completed sale fee.
Scam. It's worth $10k as a parts car. Notice the license is fuzzed out? They don't want to be traced. The description is suspect too. It reads like a $25-35k car. If it said, "Rough interior, leaks from cam seals, clutch slips, but runs okay" I'd have already bought it. Ken
Further development here...I got this as a reply when I used the ask seller a question feature. Does this mean ebay is on to him? "Dear jordan747_400 ([email protected]): Our records indicate that you recently sent an email to or received an email from atlguy1984 through the eBay email system (for example, you may have sent an email to this member through Ask Seller a Question or received an email from this member through Contact eBay Member). I got the same reply to my questions and was just going to post it. ThanksMike, not sure I know how to cut & paste to FChat
Funny, I'm going to Scotland in 2 weeks for a vacation. Maybe I should actively seek out this car and tell the guy I'm flying overseas just to inspect it.
