Large fits, I usually ask for XL though. Jennie only wears XXX-Small with plenty of clevage and actually likes bikini tops only! ;) Ohh wait, that's what I like her to wear. I think S for most shirts, maybe M for t-shirt type stuff.

    Thanks Chris.

    Well Everything is progressing nicely.

Autosport Gallery is our lead sponsor, Chris Hill and his crew will be providing emergency support for any Ferrari on the tour. They do excellent work and Chris has been a Ferrari tech for over 30 years, we are proud to have them involved with this event.

Autosport also provided the street banner and the car decals, they will look great!

Maserati - Bentley of St Louis is our other major sponsor. Graham Hill is a fantastic car guy and a true pleasure to be around. Graham and his partner have truly upped the mark when it comes to high end dealerships.
Graham will also be announcing that Maserati of St Louis is now an AUTHORIZED FERRARI service facility that can service your old or new Ferrari as well as provide FERRARI warranty work.

Maserati - Bentley of St Louis is providing a Bentley Continental GT, Maserati Quatroporte, Maserati Spyder and possibly a new Bentley Continental Flying Spur for our participants. These cars will be available for drives all during the tour!

Maserati is also sponsoring the cocktail party on Thursday nite, this will be great, we moved the time up to 6 PM and will run till 8PM.

Mequiers Car Wax is talking to us about also being a sponsor - details to follow!

Matt Vesey is going to make his award winning detail services available (at a very reasonable cost) for each car at the end of the day to make you start the day off clean and shiny!

The shirts for each participant has been ordered, these are NOT cheap polo shirts but silk blend button up shirts, they are great looking!

We have a few more surprises up our sleaves, but everything looks great!

We are TOTALLY full for this event, I promise you a great time!

This just an update about our Ferrari event in Eureka Springs Arkansas on September, 15th through the 18th.

I want to share one of the biggest secrets in the performance car community.... Northwest Arkansas, in this case, Eureka Springs www.eurekasprings.com.

The roads around Eureka Springs Arkansas have been listed in Road and Track as having 2 of the 10 best and curviest drives anywhere in North America. The road surface is flat and SMOOTH, I know it is hard to believe but the roads are just fantastic!

On Thursday, September 15th, 2005 we are going to have an invitational Ferrari event that will start on Thursday afternoon with a reception at the Crescent Hotel www.crescent-hotel.com , our host hotel. This hotel was built in 1886 and is truly a castle in the Ozark Mountains.

On Friday morning, September 16th, we will leave out around 9AM for a 2 hour drive on some of the most breathtaking and challenging roads you will ever experience. These roads are smooth, wide with just the right combination of straights and EXTREMELY tight curve sections.

Friday we will end the first leg of our drive at a local winery and restaurant, after lunch we will continue our tour by taking a high altitude tour back to Eureka Springs and the Crescent.

Friday night we will relax, as in no suits, no ties, just a casual dinner at the Crescent....

Saturday morning, September 17th we will get up and take a short tour to War Eagle Mill www.wareaglemill.com for breakfast on the top floor of this 1800's grist mill.

After breakfast we will return to Eureka Springs for a Police escorted tour through downtown to our reserved parking so that you can enjoy the many shops and restaurants in this historic city.

Saturday afternoon you may want to have lunch on the train, go to www.esnarailway.com for details!

Saturday night we are going to the Lodge on Whitney Mountain for drinks and dinner, located 21 miles west of Eureka Springs this lodge sits atop Whitney Mountain, one of the highest points in NW Arkansas and it overlooks beautiful Beaver Lake. The views are just breathtaking and food is excellent!

Sunday morning, September 18th, we will leave again around 9am for a 30 minute cruise to Pea Ridge Military Park for an interesting and historic view of the most important Civil War battlefield west of the Mississippi.

By noon on Sunday, you will be free to start your journey back home.

    UPDATE!

While I wait for the FFQC to be cancelled (and after making a donation to the Red Cross) I immediately began thinking about how to get my Ferrari fix for the year. I was about to make an appeal to join the crowd in Eureka Springs when I got an e-mail saying a big meeting we had planned for early in the month got moved to Sept. 23. Now I'll be stuck in the office working on it. (Not to mention my wife will kill me if we don't take a vacation soon)

Have fun everyone. If you haven't met the KC group before, you are in for a real treat. Hooking up with them again was something we were looking forward to in November. Enjoy the tour!

I wish you and others could make it, the the timing of this tradegy makes it impossible to open this event to more of our friends...

but.......... there is something in the planning stages, I need to speak to John and Franco... You may get a Ferrari fix sooner than you think, keep your fingers crossed and lets get all of our friends back home and safe...

    Crescent Classic Ferrari Tour...

A few hints on having a great time with us this year...

First of all you do not have to empty your bank account to enjoy this event, this is about cars, great roads and being with friends...

The 1886 Crescent Hotel is the host hotel for this years event. (www.crescent-hotel.com)

    Crescent Hotel & Spa
    75 Prospect Ave
    Eureka Springs AR 72632
    (877) 342-9766

For well over a century visitors have been traveling to this unique Ozark Mountain locale in search of adventure, healing and relaxation.

Since 1886 the legendary Crescent Hotel & Spa has been welcoming guests throughits doors offering comfort, elegance and genuine hospitality.

This tradition continues today by providing modern conveniences they have come to expect coupled with the time honored amenities, charm, comfort and services they will always appreciate.

The Registration desk will be open from 2PM to 6PM on Thursday. If you are arriving late, ask for Dana Parr, she will be able to help you.

You will pay your registration fee when you arrive at the hotel on Thursday, no credit cards please, cash or checks only, checks should be made payable to FCA Kansas City. You will receive your TUBI STYLE sponsored name/registration tag at that time, you must wear your tag during each event.

The registration fee is $500.00 per couple or $350 for a single. (If you have a guest arriving late, or you are leaving early and only attending one dinner or you have additional guests for dinner, please let us know). This fee includes your Friday and Saturday night dinners and the reception party Thursday evening which is hosted by Maserati of St Louis. (www.maseratistl.com) You will also receive a very special gift basket full of Italian goodies delivered to your room!

All other meals are on your own. There will be a cash bar for each dinner. Of course you are responsible for your hotel room and any other expenses.

You will receive two shirts for couple registration and a single shirt for a single registration, we tried to anticipate how many of each sizes we needed, but if we do not have your size, it will be mailed to you.

Please email Chris Parr [email protected] with the name of your guest so that names tags can be ready for them at registration.

    Speaking of clothes....

We have a VERY strict dress code! Proper attire for ALL events: Jeans and a casual shirt, NO ties, NO Sport Coats, No Fancy Dresses, No Kidding... We are here to relax and have fun, look nice but please be casual! Ladies, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, the sidewalks in Eureka are rugged and steep, you will not be happy in heels!

Travel light, remember, no need to have 3 changes of clothes a day, but it might be nice to have a change of clothes after Fridays drive, I promise you may sweat some of the curves!

The temperatures will most likely be mild during the day, usually in the mid-80's and nights are usually cool this time of year with lows in the 60's, so a jacket at night might be a good idea.

It would be a good idea to be prepared to have a great time, we are going to have fun and sometimes we may have to laugh at ourselves or you! We have a few surprises for you!

Be safe, these are great roads taken at any speed, in fact, we chose these roads because they are a challenge regardless of speed! Slow down, obey the traffic laws and enjoy the scenery!

This event is not just for the guys, there are some very nice shops in Eureka Springs and some nice art galleries, yes there are a few t-shirt shops, but for the most part, you will be impressed with what you find in Eureka’s shops downtown...

The Crescent Hotel has an excellent spa, THE NEW MOON SPA (www.newmoonspa.com). You should book your spa appointment before you leave for Eureka Springs!

You need to fuel up your car on Thursday before we leave out Friday morning, we do NOT anticipate any fuel shortages, but gas stations can be a long ways apart.

Your cell phone probably will NOT work ANYWHERE once you get to Eureka Springs... I suggest you leave the Crescent Hotels number with your family or office should they want or need to get hold of you...

The roads around Eureka Springs are in very good condition, but this area is not called Little Switzerland for nothing, some streets will be too steep for your Ferrari. Stay on the main streets and you will not have any problems.

On Thursday, September 15th, 2005 we are going to have a reception sponsored by Maserati of St Louis and Bentley of St Louis. Graham Hill and his partner are our new friends and are anxious to be an important part of this event. We are very excited that Maserati of St Louis is now the Ferrari Factory Authorized Ferrari repair facility for this area. The reception will at the Crescent Hotel in the Conservatory Room. The reception will start at 6PM and runs until 8PM. Dinner will be on your own Thursday night, I suggest you contact the concierge when you check-in at the hotel for dinner reservations or recommendations.

On Friday morning, September 16th, we will have a drivers meeting at 9AM, first car out will leave at 9:30AM for the start of a 2 + hour drive on some of the most breathtaking and challenging roads you will ever experience. PLEASE, DO NOT BE LATE to the drivers meeting...

Maserati of St Louis is providing a Maserati Quatroporte and a Maserati Spyder to be driven on the tour, Bentley of St Louis is providing a Bentley GT and perhaps a Bentley Continental Flying Spur to be driven on the tour as well. A sign up sheet will be available the morning of the tour.

I suggest you bring your camera, and if you see something you want to do along the way, feel free to do so. This drive is sponsored by Autosport Gallery in Stillwell, KS our Ferrari Service Specialist in Kansas City. Chris Hill has been instrumental in keeping our cars in excellent shape over the last 5 years, so we were very pleased he asked to be a part of the Crescent Classic.

The roads on the tour are smooth, wide with just the right combination of straights and EXTREMELY tight curve sections. We have made the most incredible tour guide for you, digital pictures show you the intersections where you need to turn, we also include a map that shows you where you are along the route at each turn and a set of written directions with mileage makers....

The first leg of our tour ends at Weiderkehr Wine Cellars (www.weiderkehrwines.com) a local winery that sits atop St. Mary’s Mountain that opened in 1880, feel free to take a tour of the winery.
Free tours of the cellars are given every 45 minutes from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm every day. The tours proceed through long rows of oak aging casks, to wine storage, production, and bottling areas, and finally to the tasting room where you can try fine wines.

This is a good chance to stretch your legs and catch your breath...

The Weinkeller restaurant at Weiderkehr is highly recommenced. The Weinkeller Restaurant serves excellent Swiss and other European specialties in charming, candlelit surroundings. The original wine cellar, hand-dug by Johann Andreas Wiederkehr in 1880, was converted to house the Weinkeller in 1967. The restaurant is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and for years has been voted "Most Romantic" and "Best Ethnic" by the readers of Arkansas Times magazine. The desserts are fantastic!

After lunch continue your tour by taking a high altitude tour back to Eureka Springs and the Crescent Hotel.

Dinner Friday night is at the Crescent in the Conservatory room, cocktails begin at 6.30PM, (cash bar) dinner is served at 7.30PM.

After dinner, feel free to go upstairs to Dr. Bakers Lounge, I noticed the music in the lounge got better the more I drank, but the view from the outside balcony is incredible!

Saturday morning, September 17th we will take a short tour to War Eagle Mill (www.wareaglemill.com) for breakfast on the top floor of this 1800's grist mill, the food is pretty basic, but very good, the drive is great! (You pay for your own meal here). Drivers meeting is at 8:30AM, first car out immediately after the meeting.

After breakfast we will return to Eureka Springs and gather at Pine Mountain shopping center for a Police escorted tour through downtown to our reserved parking so that you can enjoy the many shops and restaurants in this historic city.

Suggestion: Saturday you may want to have lunch on the train, go to www.esnarailway.com for details!

Saturday night we are going to The Lodge on Whitney Mountain, located 21 miles west of Eureka Springs. The lodge sits atop Whitney Mountain, one of the highest points in NW Arkansas and it overlooks beautiful Beaver Lake. The views are just breathtaking and the food is excellent! We will meet in the parking lot at the Crescent at 5:15 for a 5:30 departure. Remember, casual clothes and bring your cameras, this is a view that you will not soon forget! Cocktails from 6PM to 7PM (cash bar). This restaurant has a very nice wine selection and a couple of Diet Cokes on hand.

It is our hope to get you back early enough so that you can go downtown to the Jazz Festival, (www.eurekaweb.com/jazz/) but when you get a room full of Ferrari owners with great food and drinks, it may be tough to get everybody to leave!

Sunday morning, September 18th, we will meet again at 9AM in the parking lot to leave for a 30 minute cruise to Pea Ridge Military Park for an interesting and historic view of the most important Civil War battlefield west of the Mississippi. (This is really just one last excuse to drive the cars in a beautiful setting!)

By noon on Sunday, you will be free to start your journey back home!

We may get a little wet today, the rest of the week looks good!

(I think Enzo has a sense of humor!)

    See you this evening!

We are bringing Matt Vesey to wash cars tonite and tomorrow nite, so your baby will be clean and dry.

Matt is KC #1 detailer, he is usually booked weeks in advance and at $300 to $600 a wash, he is very thorough! I suspect every Ferrari in this area has had Matt give it attention. Obviously he won't have time for a complete detail, but you can be confident your car is in good hands...

There is a small charge for this, he is actually donating his time, but just needs to cover travel costs...

We leave KC at 1:00! See you there!

you couldn't have asked for better weather!
What a fantastic weekend of performance driving.
Just to give you an idea of some of the fun we had,

" this is the fastest I have ever driven my car for the longest amount of time"

Dave Wilson stopped by, and it was great meeting him at the event.
