The precious warm seasonal days it spends in the shop and the inevitable bills paid upon retrieving it from said storage.

I recently bought an F430. Well, a Ferrari is not a rare sight where I am from, but when I drive to my parents home, the freeway trip is filled with horn honks...but I have never been flashed.

Parking is not easy either as many people get in your way just to stay the car for a few seconds longer. I one had a guy so pleased with it he stood there untill I moved the car.

Ferrari is automotive heroine. I have the fortune to own one, but at owners events, I drop my jaw on several occations.

    FORZA FERRARI

The worst thing about owning Ferraris is watching the money men in Maranello prostitute the brand, overproduce the cars, make them less exotic and generally make Ferrari not as special anymore..........and realizing that Lambo might be a better way to go in the future as long as Audi doesn't screw things up. But I guess there is always Pagani!

I own a 23 year old Ferrari. I expected that once in a while, I may be waiting on the side of the road for help. My Pantera did it, my Corvette did it, most of my normal street cars did it.

With that said, I can not think of anything bad about owning a Ferrari.

How's your hand built, low volume SL55 doing. At least you've modified yours, so it qualifies for low vlome.

    Lunch?

The 55 is doing well and consistently outrunning Ferraris!! But at least we knew what we were buying into with MB. Even though they said that it would be limited production, we knew that they would pump out all they could sell. You just don't expect that with Ferrari...........or want it.

My point was that I really feel that Ferrari used to be very special and rare.........and that was very important to me...........and its gone. Ferrrari is just a lowish volume car maker now. I think Enzo was a great entrepreneur and I always admired what he did and the way that he did it. I know that Maranello didn't look like a Disneyland of car junk when he was running things.

Are you back in the oven yet?

    Ciao.......Dino

The specific incident was being in my 308GTB in the early '80's on Hollywood Blvd on a Friday night. For those of you not in Socal, this is probably when it is most crowded with cruisers and tourists. My car stalls at a light and won't restart. Other cars behind start honking, some pedestrians start jeering and making snide comments, everyone's stopped walking and is just watching this incident, etc. I have to get out and push it to the side and as the lane clears there's a cheer from this crowd of thousands. Very embarrassing.
