Hello from Germany, I just searched the archives, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything, so excuse me for double posting, if this thread already exists. But here's my question: Does anyone know the correct ATE no. of the REAR caliper seal kits for the 308s ? The front is 13.0441.4827.2, but I need the number for the rear kits, which is similar ( 13.0441.xxxx.2 ). I have an old memo here, which says 13.0441.3811.2. Can anyone confirm this ? What ATE currently lists on their catalogue ( online and in their printed K14 ) , is complete crap. Our 308s DO NOT have 57mm front and 42 rear calipers, so forget any ATE catalogue. Best Regards and thank you in advance. Martin
martin OK as i post this in the past on my 1980 308 gtsi for the ATE front prake caliper kit PORSCH part no # 901-351-964-11 flat o rings if you split the caliper #901-351-928-10. for the rear caliper # 901-352-998-00 use the same part no for the O rings for the rear. you can get this at your PORSCH dealer i did. (use the year 1974 911).
Therse kits do not include the o rings and seals for the handbrake mechanism. I have kits made up to include these but am not a site sponsor! Check ebay for user carl888
Hello from Germany, thanks so far; I believe there are several different seal kits which fit the 308 calipers. @ria: the numbers you posted correspond to the ATE numbers: 13.0441.4815.2 front and 13.0441.3805 rear. I have 13.0441.4827.2 front and 13.0441.3811.2 rear I think all piston seals corresponding to a certain piston diameter are the same. The different numbers only refer to different dust covers. For instance; 3803, 3805,3811 have the same piston seals, but different dust covers. I would like to do further research about caliper kits which fit the 308 brakes. So does anyone of you have further suggestions - preferably confirmed through experience ? @phil: I know, that these kits only include the dust covers, piston seals and circlips. Unless kits with a solid outer ring on the dust cover. These don't need circlips. This is the case on the genuine ATE seal kit for the 308 caliper front: 13.0441.4827.2, which is no longer available from ATE. Phil; thanks for your suggestion regarding carl888 on ebay. Weird, but true; I'm in Germany on the opposite side of the globe and if a serious parts supply problem occurs, Carl is my last hope Since he visited me over here in person we stay in contact and he sends me some items from time to time . Best Regards and Thank you in advance Martin
I share a w/shop with carl.... My kits also have the steel plug included, that covers the lower handbrake lever clip.
For the rear brakes you can use an Alfasud front brake kit. However these days the Sud is rarer than the 308...(I have both)
