You guys have your brotherhood (If your into that sort of thing). We are more like Mercs. we get together when the situation dictates. Otherwise we do our own thing, like most men........

 

I am new to the 348 family. I have to say that I love the car. As far as the 355 comments on always seeing the 348 in there mirror, always behind. I should remind you that most off the 355's were always behind us (previous) NSX owners on track days, so what is your point. You have the new more evolved car. If we wanted faster we would chave bought the new corvette Z06. I guess it is a matter of taste.....

 

Behave ya self dude, the NSX was always a 348 rival and not the 355s, which may i remind you would run the underpowerd NSX into the ground. And are you talking about that bloody ugly new Zo6...LOL!!!!!! The one thats 11 years newer than the 355 anyways Behave

 

It is pretty ugly, isn't it. Being fair with our 355 brothers, maybe it was the drivers, but the NSX did out "perform" the days I was at the track. They were modified though, so I guess it isn't a totally fair comparison

The really odd thing was that Honda/Acura never really came out with a rebuttal...no special high-powered model, etc...

 

It is big talk on prime (NSX community), when will the next generation NSX come out, will it be up to the task (and HP) to contend with the big boys. At this point I really got the ferrari bug, I could care less who's car is faster, etc.. I am still driving one of the cars I always wanted

 

In fact i do realy like the NSXs, there is alot of bang for the buck I had a video of te NSX v the 348 a few years back.

 

i think they are both cool cars lets remember we both have a prancing horse on our hoods...anyway i love the more rounded lines of the 355 and the f-1 sound i like the 348's testarossa like sides and its 80's flair. Besides, the 348 looks kick ass next to a nsx...

 

I have had a 348 for 15 years, I bought it new and at the time I was debating wether to buy the last of the 328's. I opted for the 348 and find it an altogether different experience of driving. Ok people say that 355's are everything the 348 should have been, but lets not forget that it was an altogether different car than the 328's and so improvements were inevitable and 355's are modified 348's. The 360 again being altogether a completely different car to the 355. I prefer having no power steering, I can always put a sports exhaust if the tone or a couple of bhp more are required. I have a F430 on order but I will certainly be keeping my one owner 348. So owners lets enjoy our cars and not slag each other off about what model we own. At the end of the day we are lucky to have the marque at all, others have to settle for a hellovalot less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Hi and wellcome, if you have ever been reading anything regarding 348 v 355 on f.chat then you will or should know that we dont slag of each others cars. We are just pissing about with each other We all love and respect ferrari, dot com

Wow, this thread brings back memories.

Started off as a complete newbie, scared my engine would blow up or gearbox break. Worried... (or should that be paranoid) about parking in public areas. Got a 3,000 mile limit insurance policy. Always waxing my car.

Now one year later......

Have driven over 5,000 miles. Drive it as much as I can, park it everywhere.

Not worried if the engine blows, as I'll just upgrade the engine. (Besides, when was the last time you heard of a 348 engine breaking???)

Considered a 360 and even test drove one, but hated it. Felt like I was driving a luxo barge.

So I'm keeping my 348 forever!!!!

Oh.... I still keep waxing it though.

And 355 owners are still power steering fairies, especially spider owners.
