Spotted yesterday (by my wife).........Red 360 with gold rims off of Michigan Ave. Can anyone guess who this guy is? Oh I forgot he had a blonde in the car with him.. This one is for you Andreas! Thanks. Vince
Tony the tiger. Since they took over the parking lot at North Ave. beach in preparation for the air show he can't park there this week. So he is a homeless driving around the city...
Silver 360 spyder, one red, one yellow 348 spyder. And of course one red 355 spyder but it was a rental. All spotted zipping up and down the Strip in Vegas. RocketBoy
I have to admit as an aviation and space fan ( but no Trekkie, ) it was quite a thrill to be walking in the same places as the famous Cosmonaut Brock had... Rental Ferrari I saw was from the place just north of Monte Carlo, south of Ceasars. I guess its next to a little casino named Boardwalk? I went to the Exotic dealer at the Forum Shops and it wasn't too impressive. I love the chopper image but the OCC fad is getting old and I just don't see a good match between a wild chopper and pristine TR. Imperial Palace's collection is falling every year I go. I remember a time they had JFK's personal car, Jackie O's, the prototype and the only automatic Shelby Cobra, not to mention the Japanese Emperor, Hitler's, Churchills, and FDR's car all parked together. On display now they actually had an 02 VW Turbo. From showing the cars of Kings, Queens and Heads of State years ago to today showing the car your oddball neighbor Moonbeam drives to Starbucks everyday? Not so good. They had a 308 GTB with 17,000 miles and were asking $75,000 for it. From last time I went ( a year ago and still there today, ) NART spyder conversion Daytona for $225,000, white Superfast, red fiat looking convertible which I do not recall the number or type. Most interesting car there is the XJ220. The Ferrari line at the Wynn was too long. My bachelor party boys and Father went and bought me a neat little key chain for what they said will hopefully be my next purchase. The keychain is of the F1 car, so it is a wonder now after having a great GT would an F1 be the way to go? Maybe if I wanted a garage queen. For it to be used as intended an F1 car would be ideal in the hands of Chuck or Jack. Two Chicago studs who would look great waving to Andreas while tearing up LSD and dodging cell phone notes from perfect eye candy girls on Michigan Ave. RocketBoy
For a perfect day weather wise, spotted two 348s in the northwest suburbs. First a red 348 Spyder in Buffalo Grove refueling at the Lake-Cook Mobil. A few minutes later a red 348 coupe, ( different looking than the one I have spotted a few times in the area, ) zipping north on Quientin in Deer Park. RocketBoy
GOOD ONE......... very short female (given the face to steering wheel distance) driving a BLACK TESTAROSSA! yesterday on Willow in Northbrook.
Wow wow wow and more wow. Saw a black 360 spider in Crystal Lake on Walkup at 176 about 930AM, saw it again on Edgewood & Walkup about 1100AM. The guy pulled too far into the intersection and gave me a friendly wave as I was turning in front of him - of course I yelled at him... "nice s p i d e r!!!".
Red Mondial cabriolet, northbound on Harlem somewhere south of 95 St. in or near Palos Heights, Sunday evening a little after 7:00.
I'll tell you what. There is some nice, scenic Driving down there around all of the Forest Preserves in that area. 2 lane Roads, going right through the Forest, most with posted speeds of 55MPH.... Just may have to incorporate that into the Route 66 Drive coming up,after Lunch at Del Rhea's Chicken Basket, which,is on an Actual Stretch of the old Road...
Hmmmm, might have been Claudine Minogue. Her and Jeff didn't have a TR, but Jeff is always buying new cars for her. Last one I know of was a 456; did she have black hair?
Yesterday, once again on Franklin: Yellow 355 Spider. If he ever gets stopped at a redlight, I need to throw him one of my FOC club cards. The guy is a die hard driving his baby to work everyday. BTW: Fair warning on this thread. It is about to close. Fall 05 Spotted is approaching fast.
yes. I followed her into Glenview, but I figured women would not (in general) appreciate being chased by some car nut.
I am replying to this because it is humorous. I was teaching the wife how to select reverse and neutral, as it was her first escapade driving the Spider. You must have approached as she was selecting the reverse gear. She decided to learn how to drive the Spider at that location because she did not want to wait for me at the bank. It wasn't the best location for giving driving instructions.
Oh cool, we have a spotting and the spottee actually reads it. Awesome! Ten points to Chuck. Welcome to this board Enzomaniac. And let your wife type as well please.
Enzomaniac, how about you and the Mrs. joining along with us for our 3rd. Annual "Trip on LSD" Drive along Lake Shore Drive? We are meeting at Burnham Harbor THIS Saturday,Sept.3rd.,at 10:00AM,rolling off at 10:30AM. Then,we'll end up in Kenilworth for Brunch? We'd love to meet you and have you come along....
Well.......kinda! She's married to Jeff!!!! Was probably Claudine, as they're in that neck of the woods.
Duhrolls, how many women have you seen who can drive F1? Just getting them into the seat is an arduous task. I'm enthused that at the least, she is becoming a true Ferrarista. Don't spoil her enthusiasm or the growing enthusiasm of any woman new to the passion who might read your posts. Our shared passion needs more women.
