    Been reading a few 'garage queen' posts lately, so I thought I would start a thread to find out who here has low mile f-cars. To be fair we should list not only model but year. Here is mine;

    1991 Mondial cab "t" 3,400 miles

Disclaimer; this post is not meant to promote garage queens... but to possibly initiate a process in which to get our cars out of the garage and out on the road! Remember-Recogizing that you have a problem is the first step to finding the cure!

Belts and hoses can be replaced mileage cannot! Enjoy your car but when it comes time to sell it expect to get less for your high mileage car. If I was in the market for a used Ferrari I would look for one with the lowest possible miles and then immediately do the timing belt, hoses, tires etc...

I drove mine 14,000 kms in the last 2.5 years. Never in the rain.

I have a 1989 348TS with 22,600 miles. Not exactly a garage queen, but not enough miles in my opinion. I intend to put more smiles on it this winter when the weather is better. My name is Bill and I just want to drive it more.

When I pick mine up tomorrow it will be 12,700 miles and next month it will be 11 years old when the 2006s come in, not that Ferrari does it like Nissan for release dates. 1,136 miles per year or 3.11 miles/day. Just driven by a little old lady back and forth to church each day.

After reading some of the posts perhaps we should post our "Average" miles per year too! On that note mine would be a miserable 242 miles a year...

    Ouch!

For the GQers (Garage Queens), here's an interesting tip from the tech who performed my 30K a couple of yrs ago. Since you're not putting many miles on the car, make sure you run your gas until the tank is empty. If you keep topping off the old gas (which I used to do), he said you can run into problems. Made sense to me. Just an FYI.

You are absolutely correct. Try to run the old gas as low as you can. I try to freshen up the tank every month. Rather than keeping a full tank that many suggest I like to have only a small manageble amount of gas to deal with if I need to drain it.
Another tip is to use Justice Brothers oil treatment in the fuel tank. Use the very thin bodied oil treatment ( there is a heavy one too ) and add to just a gallon or so of gas. Then run it all through the engine. This stuff will clean the valves like nothing else out there.

    My one:
    1986 328 GTS
Bought in Nov. 03 with 12000 miles.
Almost no use (oversea for work) up to June 04.
6500 miles in one year :D. Now it stands at 18500.
As I am oversea again, it will be a perfect environmentally controlled garage queen for (at least :( ) the next 12 months: 0 miles.
    Ciao

1987 328 GTS with 19,619 miles not driven much in past year and a half which is why i'm selling it. Not only should you worry about the gas, but don't forget to change the oil even when not driven. Anyone with a garage queen i highly recommend installing a optima battery.

Not driving does more harm then driving the car. Even Ferrari recomends putting at least 3000 miles a year on the car.
