I just bought an 1989 Mondial t cab. Runs great. When I was doing the checkout button-pressing exercise with the sales guy, we came across the button on the top dash panel to the left of the gas cap opener. It is labeled with an icon that looks like a partially opened folder (think PC) with a curved arrow zooming away from it. It's not an aftermarket thing because the color and style are exactly the same as the gas and engine/trunk release icons.

Anyone know what this button is supposed to do? Thanks.

I think it's the glovebox lid release, but I have a 348, not a Mondial.

That's what the sales guy thought it was, only the glove box on the dash in front of the passenger appears to be simply a leather-covered paneled screwed into the dash. It does not open.

I'm pretty sure the ejector seat option was not available until 1992... :)

Have you tried the manual? I'm sure it has a glovebox, just have to figure it out.

It is for the glovebox...I have not seen a US T with a glovebox but I am sure some are out there.
