    Anytime someone askes what kind of Ferrari I own...they ask just two questions;

    First, is it RED? (yes!)

...Second, "is it like the one Magnum PI drove" ??????????? (No!)

When I think of Ferrari I know I think of Red...

I know they come in all different (and beautiful) colors so 'to each his own'. Yet, I cannot think of any other car that is identified so much so, by its red color.

    Ferrari=Red

...Did I mention they should all be red?

    LOL

I agree that grigio (as well as silver and blue chiaro) really bring out the lines of a 328. Black is elegant but camouflages the overall design of the car. Red is very overpowering. You know you're looking at a red Ferrari, but you lose the subtleties of the curves. Definitely makes a statement more than any other color though.

To me color is as important as shape of the car itself. I never let the fact that one color is too flashy, too bright, too this, too that be a factor when it comes to picking the right color for its shape. Beautyful color + beautyful shape is art. Pick the color YOU love the most. If you don't know which you like then, you need to spend a little more time looking at them... My mother spends hours looking at her diamonds. I don't need to tell her which has better clearity or color than the other, she just know by heart...

It's down to personal preference I guess.
I have 328GTS and 512TR both red but that does not mean I don't like other colour on Ferraris. IMO, it depends on the model eg. yellow for 355, 360, 430.
Silver for 550, 575 blue for 612 etc.
    That's only opinion!

    I love my red one.
I personally LOVE the TDF Blue, but if you have seen one after 20K or more miles, you can see EVERY friggin' ding, scuff, blemish, etc. I think the TDF is worse than black, in terms of difficulty in keeping it looking great. Red is realitively easy.

    Dane,
In your pics you can see even the gras likes a red Ferrari much more then a Blue one.

if it wasn't for hundreds of red Hondas or Cavaliers out there in the streets
it would be a perfect colour but like I said it's already taken.

exclusive Ferrari colours would be ideal, like the exotic colour Lamborghini uses

Opposite for me. I had blue and black first. Then I went to red and as much as I like it, it doesn't interest me as much as the non-red colors. I should have kept my first car. She stopped time evertime I pulled up to an event!

I'll post from home in a minute, but R&T has statistics on accidents and citations for the various colors in this months issue.....

My first was yellow/black, but man, it's a little bright if you were up late the night before........LOL!

So the second one was blue/cream...

The silver is hard to beat, and the green one at FFQC went Platinum Award!

I'm going to keep getting them 'till I can have a different color for every day, like the fender inserts on the Smart Car! LOL!

    Steve,

Thanks very much. Have you seen Yoshi's shields (Nero308)?
Here's a related thread if you haven't seen it already:

I'm seriously considering a set of those. Hey, Yoshi! How 'bout a bulk discount? "Bulk" being two sets! ;)

No. She was a middle aged white woman who trains some kind of show dog that is ranked 9th in the U.S. in its breed. So she says... ;-)

We all agree that Ferrari's are beautiful in any color...

That said, I've had a silver and now a red Ferrari. The red hasn't attracted any more attention from law enforcement than the silver. No difference.

Red has attracted more attention than silver from general public and I too am asked 'is it red'. I personally think that you have to own a red one at least once!

Although red is the coulor of choice, a lot of the older 60's models looked great in any other coulor but red. Take the Lusso for instance.

Jerry and I are twin sons of different mothers (thank you Dan Fogelberg) and I have absolutely no regrets...

I love this car and it is beautiful.

    Hey all,

This is another of those wonderful threads that point out, yet again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thank the powers of the universe, that we don't all like the same color (our car shows would be lame as hell). And may I add; a Ferrari in any color, is a beautiful creation. I know, you really do agree with that:)

    Cheers, Hank
