Can anyone recommend a good car cover. One for indoor (Ferrari obviously ) and one for outdoor. I was about to get them from Covercraft. http://www.covercraft-europe.com Thanks
I got one of these for the 355. http://www.covercar.com/html_ing/ing_copriauto_class.htm Made to measure, comes with covers for car, 1 seat and steering wheel all in a red Ferrari bag. Really shiny red reflective outer with flock-like inner and perfect fit (with wing mirrors). Has prancing horse on bonnet and rear panel, and its Italian Not sure about price, grabbed mine on eBay 2nd user. Chap I bought it off said it was the "official one" he bought as an option with a new 355.
I use a Carcoon. Provides you with full climate control during the winter, which an ordinary cover doesn't. Plus it doesn't actually touch the paintwork, so there are no issues re possibly scratching the car
I have the covercraft Noah. I have it for both ferraris (which are mainly indoors) and for the elise which is outside. I am prety happy with them.
just drive mine so often it would be a pain taking the cover on and off you are all a set of puffters
I use a Covercraft one but got mine via www.vertar.com I'm very happy with it It was made to measure and is easy to put on and take off. Was about 10 days for delivery
Sy I have a one the same as Dales one if you want it,its got slight damage,Very slight, i just bought a new one when i moved into the new garage, you can have it if you want.No charge just keep 355 bashing.
Thanks for the offer Andy, but I've also got a similar one to Dale's, but it does'nt keep the dust out too good. Hence the new one. As for the 355 bashing ......me?? Never........... I think 355 owners have enough trouble with their cars as it is........
I wanted one for the odd occasion when I stay at an hotel etc. overnight. Requirement was to be - Anonymous ie no logos, cavallinos etc - Stand reasonably hostile weather overnight Bought one from http://www.morethanpolish.com/mtp/coversallweather.asp Seems well made in a good quality fabric that should be breathable but is not specifically tailored. Decent webbing attatchment and plastic buckles At around £100 I was satisfied. Haven't been caught in the rain yet though! In the garage at home I use a simple synthetic fabric with a soft pile surface, bought on the local market v cheaply. I needed a total of 6M x 4M for my TR Was astonished how much was needed - none to spare at that.
I have a question. What if want to attache a trickle charger to the battery? Would it be a good idea to ask the company to create a covered access point (maybe via velcro) at the rear of the cover (or whereever the battery connector is) so that the lead is over the cover rather than next to it? Or am I being pedantic?
Sy get a trickle charger that plugs into the ciggerete lighter, you can just shut the door over it and the cover doesnt interfere.
Thanks Andy.....did'nt realise you could attach them to the ciggie lighter. But surely the wire will get damaged if the door is shut on it?
Either a)Take the door off its hinges and store carefully or b)Leave the window open a little Take your pic
