    Just a simple query.

My garage told me to switch off when warm and immediately check oil level. But the manual says to check it whilst it's idling.

    Which is correct?

    Thanks.

    Both.

You'll get the same reading either way.

The inconsistency of Ferrari Manuals never ceases to amaze! Following the Cambelt frequency saga ......

I guess the message is not to check it after its stood overnight and is cold. Is that right ernie?

    My manual says:

Thanks, my mistake :) It was the garage that said leave it running, my manual's the same as yours.

Anyway, thanks to Ernie for pointing out it doesn't matter either way.
