engine catalyst plate

My F355 engine compartment has a catalyst plate that has a clear lamination that is about half pealed off (from the engine heat). Apparently the underlying plate with diagrams and words has the adhesive remaining and is dirty. Does anyone know if the plate can be cleaned without removing the words and diagrams? The plate would look better if the remaining clear laminate was removed, but then the middle would be clean and the surrounding areas would be dirty. Help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
