buy a Hayter, if you've got a small to average garden a 16" drum powered one will cost you around £400 :)

Fair play, but i would have to replace all the rubbers first as they have probably perished

You youngsters, no idea..... now what you want is a Suffolk Punch 14" or 16" for that professional finish. Wood roller on the front, then blade and cutting edge, then metal roller (split for diff effect on larger types) so no churning on tight turns.

Latterly called a Qualcast after buyout of SP. Can be tuned for a brisk run up the lawn. Never use un-leaded in 'em.... old skool u see the Briggs and Stratton motor..... love 'em. As used on cricket pitches, not a flymo in sight there!

One of these? We have one, they are good but you stink of exhaust fumes after cutting the lawn

Get the Flymo 350 you won't regret it......

look at my spec.......seriously my grass is a quarter of that but the 350 is a belter of a spec for the cash in B&Q and then go midweek and get an OAP to buy it for you and get 10% off!!!

Steve ive got a spare 348 engine that i rigged up on the mower, not bad results. As a modern car jonny you wouldnt be able to handle the rawness of it , so best go for the flymo.

    Andy.

Yes, one of those, but when they used to measure the width in "old money" non of this new-fangled cm rubbish, and the petrol tanks were red! As far as stinking of fumes, perhaps "she's" running a bit rich, lean 'er off a little. :)
