    Hi guys

    With regards to the drop gears on a 308 GTB, does it matter which side of the centre gear faces out towards the case? It looks the same on both sides and I did not mark it before removal.

    There should be Ferrari part nymbers etched into each gear, and on my car they were all facing the same way- out.

    Thanks JWISE but there doesn't seem to be any part numbers on mine. As far as I know the gears are std Ferrari helical cut with std cover.

    Match up the wear patterns on the gears.

    The gears will have worn in against each other, so if you reverse one, esp the middle gear, they'll be quite noisey.
