Know the car well had it for 9 months. Please note block was an early service replacement block. Not the original engine, irregardless, what is stamped on the pad.

Engine had a bad hole up to 6 months ago, carb nut went thru the engine, leasing company repossessed the car with sour mtr.

Interesting car. Note, it the blurb by the dealer says excellent cosmetic condition. Looks like good paint and interior but some of the mechanical stuff looks a bit scary. Two instruments appear missing. Odd exhaust, with what appears to be smoke coming out. Engine bay details appear to be a bit off. Did the early engines not have plug wire guides? Also, on my 330 the distributor caps have the wires facing the front of the engine. Anyway, definately unrestored - I wonder what the new owner will find when the engine is opened.

Has anyone contacted the dealer for details?

At the risk of being corrected (hi Tom!) I "believe" that the caps are canted inwards on the inside plug motors similar to the picture below. There were guides and wire casing at the ends as well (photo two).

It looks like a 128D engine with 36DCL webers. I don't know if this is correct for this car or not.

What's the S/N Tom? I believe that 0817 has a replacement motor with no number but that car's red and just sold during the summer.
