    apples oranges.

    It takes a skilled assembler to put a Ferrari together so that it looks, works and feels nice, where as with a German car, it's only when parts fail that you notice anything wrong.

    no but I'm sure Vroomgt does ! he knows everyone with a half decent car !!

    as a sideline comment, there is a Lambo restorer between Woolgoolga and Coffs harbour with several Urracos, a Countach, Jalpas, 308GTS and a couple of others but he is out in the bush so hard to find, he helped fix a broken wire in the keylock of the gt4

    Why not get a 2003 147 GTA for around $45K and save yourself that initial depreciation?

    I drove a Alfa Spider 12 months ago. Honestly about the worst newish car I have ever driven. However I believe the 147 GTA is a descent car. LOOOOOOOTS of under and torque steer though!

    A good friend of mine bought the GTA about 6 months ago. It's a great car looks and feels nice to drive but after about 3 months lots of things started happening to it. It's been in the shop more then he's had it and yes it is covered by warranty but that doesn't help him get to and from work when he has no car. He's currently trying to get alfa to give him a new one and i think they should.
    I agree with dingo though on the RWD i would love to buy a new alfa thats RWD. Whats all there thinking with the FWDs anyway ? :(

    What wont you drop ten on? Nothing and by the end of the year as with just about every new car, you can make that fifteen or twenty!

    The 147 GTA is fab, is this car a Selespeed? i would not recommend this type of gearbox to anyone in any car period and that includes Ferrari.

    The GTA does have some torquesteer, etc as you would expect but feels bullet proof and acrosss ground is quite a performer....though it is a bit of a point and squirt machine.....but the musica!

    Best answer on the Germ / Ita question comes from a Bris guy who races both 360 and Porkers (JT) -
    "Driving the Porsche is like commanding a troop of SS guards - you know its going to do exactly what you ask, no more, no less;
    Driving Ferrari is like stroking the naked bum of a beautiful woman - you never
    know how it's going to end up, but when it's good..."
