The factory used 25 mm spacers with 80mm wheel bolts so I wouldn't worry about. 95% of the 348 spiders out there are using this setup.

Go through Daniel at Ricambi America. He sells the Hill spacer kits and I got some from him about a two weeks ago. I have seen pictures with them installed and they help the look (and performance) greatly.
Daniel is great to work with and drives a 348 as well. He can answer any questions you have.

You could also ask Elgin328 (Mark)....I know he has a 348 spider and just put Modena wheels on it which means he had to remove the spacers and the bolts...Not sure what he is doing with the wheels...

I've got a 1994 GTB which is the spec as your spider and my wheels also sat too far in, even after I put larger 355 wheels on.

I ended up putting 15mm spacers from hill Engineering on frontamd back, although you could probably go with 20mm at the back.

Eric, I just changed my wheels on my 348 Spider. The wheels I have are extended from the factory (no need for spacers). The lug bolts I have are the stock bolts that came with the car. Wheels are in like new condition and the tires are in very good shape. (Not one ding on the wheels). The wheels are flush with the top of the fender. If you are interested in buying the wheels, I'm sure we could work something out. Contact me if you are interested.
    Cheers

I'm confused...what does 'extended from the factory' mean? I thought the factory used the same wheels throughout the whole production of the 348... but on the later cars (like yours) increased track width by adding 25mm spacers. Are your stock lug bolts 55mm or 80mm and have you measured them.

    You'll still need 80mm bolts.

Yes I do have 80mm stock bolts. These wheels have an extended hub. No spacers. From what I am hearing is this is rare?
