hi there from the uk, can anyone help with the problem i have

the boss at work has and old Ferrari 308, it used to be owned by and arab sheik(sp?) and was imported to the country a few years back and it used to be a twin turbo but has had them removed and converted to NA by Ferrari before it was imported, it was moved to the garage about 18 months ago and hasnt moved since, before it was moved it did run fine, now since it been in the garage it hasnt been started, they tried to start it a few weeks back but the fuel pump was dead so they fitted a new one and it still doesnt work, yesturday i was given the task of getting it to work

i had a poke about yesturday and it uses the old style mechanical injection but uses electronic ignition, it has 2 coils, 1 for each bank, but there is no spark from either of them, so i got the multi metre out and the the coils have 2 double termials on each, so 4 spade connetors on each so 8 in total, but what was odd the with just the ignition on there was a 12v feed to each terminal, surely 2 of these should ne -ve (the coils are mounted on a bracket and earthed to the chassis).
now being electronic ignition there should be a crank sensor or cam sensor somehwere but ill be buggered if i can find it, just wondering if anyone has worked on this type of system before or knows anyone i can contact about it or even a website, i have been Given a number from a mate for a classic car garage and ive left that with the boss to find out any info.

or dose anyone have any wiring diagrams for the ignition system or similar as it would be most helpful, cheers

Although we always seem to call them "crank sensors", they are actually "flywheel sensors" (so look in the plane of the flyweel). Is it a 2V or 4V 308? Both OMs have decent illustrations regarding the ignition system, but IIRC there are differences 2V vs 4V for the "standard" versions (if that's what you're dealing with).
