Frank William's reserve drivers have had a history of taking out the Leaders of the race, look back at Monza in 1988 when McLaren's perfect season was destroyed when Senna tried to lap Jean Louis Schelesser and he punted Senna off at the Chicane. I guess it's Karma for Ron Dennis swiping TAG, Honda, and Adrian Newey.

Being the best talent and being the best driver are two different things. His talent is better than or equal too when he can into F1, but his driving has improved one bit. He still makes stupid mistakes and has to many "incidents" with other drivers.

Is there a chance that the FIA had Sato on a "secret probation" list for past actions? If not, then it's a case of "The Schumi Rules".

I disagree. Being South American, he certainly drives with more emotion, there is no doubt about that. I feel he has matured since he came into F1, and he will continue to do so. He is a future World Champion, mark my words!

Yes I think there must be something like this happening, but it definitely looks like the FIA are down on their knees giving one to MS IMO.

Totally double standards when you think of what MS has done in the past!

Yes Sato has been involved with lots of incidents, but this one was an innocent mistake that even the great almightly MS might have made ... after wet tricky conditions, they both were on the inside line where oil had been dumped in an earlier race (apparently) and it was only a light hit, so Sato did not miss his braking mark by much.

If they want Sato out, why not just be men and be up front about it. But again I can think of lots of other non-performers that I'd remove first ... atleast Sato tries to race!

    On their knees! LOL!

Pete, you know how the FIA operates. Their MO is to give you the rope and let you hang yourself. Rather than acting with spine and saying at some point "Sato--we've seen enough, young man! Any more crap from you and there will be he77 to pay!" They choose to lay in the weeds and keep some sort of secret count of his actions. They're all about saving face, and if they threaten sanctions then they know everyone will be watching them to see if and when they back up their threats with actions. This way, it's on their own terms.
