Gotta tell ya, a Mach 3 and hot water is all I need. I tried the Quattro when they shipped me a free one, and there wasn't any advantage to it.

I too thought Quattro was better, but when you inspect the blade closely, you will see that the blades are fastened by a thin wire that straps over them. This makes the blade not lie flush on your skin making it a really crappy shave. If you have rough skin like I do, it can actually hurt you. Gillette has a patent on the way the blades are fastened (non wire) so Schick cant touch em on that. Keen to see how this one shaves! I couldnt stop feeling up my face when I first used the Mach3 power.
Anyone ever had a barber shop shave? I've always wanted to try it. Sounds interesting, but well see. I blew my money on the "Vibrating" Mach3 and that was a waste.
Ditto to that. I've said it before and here it is again: - Mach 3 = sports car of razors - Quattro = SUV of razors I imagine the 5 blade is the H2/wannabe of SUVs that doesn't do offroading very well either. =)
Saturday Night Live did a parody commercial over that Mach 3. They made it with some crazy amount of blades and in the computer generated graphic, the first few blades took off the hair, then the rest of the blades started taking chunks of skin off followed by chunks of the mans' chin for that DEEP shave. C'mon, how many blades is enough before it becomes a gimmick????
Can't use a regular razor. Too hard to get around my jaw and Addams apple. Screws up my skin and I get a lot of ingrown hairs. The only thing that's been able to work for me is electric razors. Braun are good but I currently have a Panasonic Wet/Dry.
Great now i can just go ahead and tear all the skin off my smooth irish skin as if the Mach 3 doesnt do that enough.
Well what i dont understand is this. When you see the commercial it shows you a computer made clip of the three baldes going over hair on a mans face and as each balde goes over they get lower causing the hair to do so as well. Well what I can't understand is why dont they just put the one lowest balde on. That way you'll get the same close shave, and they'd be saving tons of money by only having to use 1 versus 3 blades. Who's with me here? Gosh am I smart or what?

Each blade pulls the hair up as it cuts into it. They're all at the same height. One isn't lower than the other... that's why they use three. So... how smart are you?
