Does anyone have connections with Toyota / Lexus mechanics school? I had an interesting offer but I'm waiting to hear back from someone in a couple of weeks. If it's all on the up & up I'll need to find out about the enrollment program to brush up on my skills & learn something new. Btw this isn't for a dealership.

All Toyota certified schools are part of the T-Ten program. As far as independent Toyota schools I would be a bit wary. There are T-Ten campuses all over the U.S., but i don't know of any independent programs that are aligned with Toyota or Lexus.

If you have any questions you can pm me. After all, Toyota is what I do.

    LOL!!

just did 3.5 hours of AP European History and another hour and half of AP Calculus AB.

Back on topic: I thought you can just go to any mechanic school then apply to work at these companies. Unless you are talking about F1 mechanic?

Thanks for the info. I can't say much about it because I don't want to jinx it & plus it all depends on a contract for the 2006 season.

Steven, I'll PM later so I can discuss a bit more.

Thanks Bruce, I'l give you a call tomorrow.

    Go to bed Pat. :D

That would be awesome. Good luck. Toyota's are the easiest cars to work on; everything is a 10 or 12 mm. And the engineering is great, with the mechanic in mind. For example, the alternator belt adjusts with one wrench. No more crowbar in one hand, wrench in the other.

But in Dallas? Do they allow Toyota's in Texas?

Maybe, but they're going to have to start requiring EE's to work on the hybrids. sduke, how do you like those Priuses, again? ;)

The last time I worked on a Toyota was changing the starter on a Corolla. I would not call it easy, but there was room to get it out if you turned it a certain way. It's at least better than when you have to remove half shafts and motor mounts to get at the starter or alternator.
