    OK,

    Just thought I would share some photos with you of my engine mid rebuild, I have been working on this on and off since May 2005, hope to have it completed in October....... just in time for the winter rain in Ireland!!!

    Anyway, I am developing a document of photos and learning points that I will have completed by the end of the year showing the full rebuild and what I learned througout the process., how to get out of the Gotcha's that I experienced.

    I will have photos of a full head rebuild, replacing the big end bearings, gear box rebuild( All 5 Synchros), preparation of the engine bay and putting the whole thing back together, along with how to get the engine back in the car and set everything up.

    These photos are of the main crank and case note everything is original --- but after considerable cleaning.

    Note I did not replace the pistons/ rings are everything was well within Ferrari spec for tolerances and there were no marks on the liners anywhere. (Engine has 70K miles on it).

    Enjoy, I will send the photos by CD to anyone who wants them when I have the job done.

    Nice pics Tom as I too am undergoing a complete rebuild but with new High comp pistons.I too have been taking pics of the various stages and will post when finished.Good luck and hopefully I will also be finished around October

    Nice exhaust, unfortunately it is 15 years since I have spoken French so I am very very rusty!!

    My exhaust is fine, but if I can get a bargin I might be tempted, what make is it ?

    Looks awesome- please keep up the postings on progress.
    That block looks brand new- I can see some hours there just in the cleaning.

    I will definately take one of the photo cd's- i think you already have my information.

    Thanks for posting the photos! I think I too would like a CD of the photos when you are finished.

    I have paypal that I could use to reimburse your cost in Euros. (that would be the cost for the cd and postage, not for the engine overhaul). :)
