One of the coolest experiences I've had with my F-Car was shortly after I picked it up, I was driving on to Marco Island over the Jolly bridge, when I approached the crest, there was a 355 Spider driving the opposite directioni. With the top down, I could clearly see his hand wave above the windshield header and I waved back (I didn't have to smile, cause the corner of my lips were already firmly lodged at my ears).

I don't know if it was because I had just gotten my first F-car and it fully hadn't sunk in yet, but when I saw the 355 coming towards me, I thought to myself.."Holy cow, there's a 355 Spider!" I don't know if that guy is a member of this forum or not, if you are...Thanks, that was really cool!

I acknowledge anyone who acknowledges me.

The Jeep wave is a strong tradition.....it acknokwledges the sympathy and understanding for having a vehicle that is fun as hell but you always have to work on something to keep it going......My Ferrari isn't much differerant than my Wrangler in that respect. On the other hand, when I drive my BMW X5 4.4, there are never any waves.......$65k and there is no exclusivity.

I rarely see another Ferrari and when I do it has always been someone I already know so the answer is yes. I also to give notice to other nice cars I encounter.

I've never seen another Ferrari while driving my Ferrari but I do wave to other sportscar drivers when they look over at my car to "check it out". I also smile and wave to all the kids that are plastered to the side windows of any car I pass.

I too have a Jeep and do the "Jeep wave" to other Jeepers I pass on the road.

I always wave if I see another Ferrari. And I wave at any exotic when in the Ferrari. I wave BACK at other drivers so I don't seem soooo needy.

I always acknowledge another Ferrari, the same way that I acknowledge another Mini when I'm commuting to work in my Mini.

I never acknowledge other Ferrari owners because their presence on the road near me makes takes attention away from me, and if I acknowledged them then I'd be admitting that I'm not the only Ferrari on the road, which would suck, because the whole reason I drive this car is to make an impression on other non-Ferrari drivers. Furthermore, I find it very annoying when others wave to me, because they should understand that I'm really quite busy when driving and need my full attention on piloting my very impressive machine.

    ...
    ...
    ...
    .....JUST KIDDING!!! :D :D :D

Always a smile & a wave to any exotic driver. Actually, I pay particular attention to saying hi to other "enthusiast" drivers (i.e. modified S4s, M3s, VW GTIs, Subaru STis etc.) -- because a) that was me two years ago, and b) they're the ones who are most likely to become fellow exotic owners in the future!

Thanks, and I did not know that. Jeeps are pretty fun and versatile vehicles. They are inexpensive, easy to work on and infinitely customizable. Like Harleys, you never see 2 Jeeps that are identical. Can't say that about Ferraris (yours being the exception.)

Here's a pic of my Ferrari next to my Jeep. Talk about extremes.
(Oh, and you notice how in the other pic you can only see the top of the Jeep's bumper? Look at where that would come to on the Ferrari!)

I wave to Fcars...and anything exotic and nice. but i dont have a Fcar

but one day i was coming back from Shelton Ferrari (just talking to a friend)
and i didnt see this OH SO VERY HOT 360 spider pull up next to me (his top was up, my windows down)
and he looked over at my car, then nod at me.....i waved in aww.
then he started to roll down his window to say something but the light turned green....and he got pushed back and i turned.....

and i have a ? for u Fcar guys...or heck exotic car guys (who drive them)
why do some of exotic car guys, pull up next to non exotic car but they kinda look like one......
why do they try to race...it happens all the time, i mean i makes me feel good but if they knew what i was driving it might make them feel bad. i guess

sorry for bad typing im still sleeping.lol

I usually ignore the guys that pull up next to me and rev the engine or yell for me to "Do a burnout!"

There was this one time I pulled up to a light directly behind a Fiero. Not a kit car, an honest-to-God genuine Pontiac Fiero. It had a couple of teens in it and a "Fear This" sticker in the back window. I could see him checking my car out in the rear-view mirror and he started gunning the engine. The light turned green and he took off. Fast. I mean trying to squeal the tires kinda fast. I looked over at my buddy in the passenger seat with a "what-in-heck-is-up-with-this?" expression and my buddy has this ear-to-ear grin, he's waving his index finger in the air and he says, "It's on!!". I don't know what got into me but I passed the Fiero in third gear. I did not wave on the way by. In hindsight I probably should have.

LOL I had a Fiero and never once did I think it was fast or quick. It was a lump of lead...but good for the city. No door dings and small for parking.

I always make an attempt to acknowledge not only F cars but others as well.
What really sucks is for instance being at a stop light in my 308QV and another F car pulls up alongside ( usually a new model )and doesn't even look over.

    Probably not.

His name is Minh, he lives in the San Diego area.

The car is a very bright yellow with a very pale yellow center stripe.
You almost can't see the stripe. Very subtle.
