I know this is a frequent topic for debate and Tubi and Capristo always come out on top, but I wonder if anyone knows of a bit of video or sound files where I can hear all three on a 355?

ITO is actually the best of the best. Refined at all parts of the rev range.

But it's very expensive (50%-100% more than the Tubi/Capristos I believe).

Would love to but work calls I'm afraid. Am desperate to see what I'm missing though. My plan is to upgrade in a few months time to keep the 355 fresh. I've heard that Verdi's will fit a Capristo/Tubi and replace with your old one FOC if not completely satisfied. Is this true?

Give Karl a buzz to confirm.

I reckon I've found an aftermarket exhaust for the 355 that absolutely knocks the spots off all those mentioned above for two reasons, firstly to make the above systems sound really impressive you need to decat the car, and secondly this exhaust system comes complete with sports cats as standard and works better with them on, and still sounds more awesome than the others. Check it out on WWW.MSRACING.NET and click on movies. Watch these clips and tell me if I'm wrong?

Have heard of MSRacing - thought they either supplied the ITO's, or did an equally good (and expensive) equivalent or something.

MS racing are good exhausts but not quite as good build quality as the ITO and also are the same as a tubi pipe only - which from reports i heard are really aggravating in traffic.... far too loud at tickover...ITO was a good compromise as it is very loud over 3k but reasonable belwo (unless of course you aprt wire open your bp valve)

With a decat, and the nosie from the induction ram box it is really awesome.....and as mentioned elsewhere the chip enables nice pops and flames to boom out on overrun adn upchange....

Its an expensive piece of kit though - at £3k.....

For me i think the capristo is best and i say this becasue there are only 2 of us with an ito in the UK and i wouldn't mind keeping it that way ;-)) I loved my tubi but after everyone started getting them the noise lost its appeal so i went a step higher......capristo's sound good from what i have heard....what was with all the fears of their build quality and catching light that seemed to be mentioned a few years back...looks like a load of old nonsense to me seeing how many ahve had trouble free experiences over here in the UK !!

I ahve lots of sound files somewhere adn videos of flybys as the only sound byte i ahve seen is Bernard's being revved....they sounds far far better at full chat....

Which is the best sounding road going Ferrari?

Most people have said it's the F50 followed by a 348.

    Is this true?

Best sounding ferrari that i ever heard in person, was the F50 at See Red at Donny 3 years ago. That definately had an after market system on. It shamed the Enzo and the F40 that it was on the track with doing a parade lap.
The second best is of course the De-cat Cappy. Its no coincedence that the two most awsome sounding ferraris are made in the same year (1995):D
I have the same F50 that i am talking about on a picture taken at See Red 3 years back:) I will find it.

Hello when did the standard 348 sound better than a standard 355. Or even the same make after market systems on each. What comparision has ever said that?
