I'm interested in rare or one off 456's. I know there was the Sultan of Brunei 456 wagon. What others? 456 spider? Special editions like a "around the world" or maybe a Michael Schumacher car?

There was one for sale in forza a couple of years ago. It was a green swiss car that was build for a x factory driver. It had a hot rodded motor and a 5 speed transmission

I understand that a 1998 6 speed version is very rare.

    i believe there are,

    - 8 convertibles (456 venice spider)
    - 4 station wagons (456 venice estate)
    - 4 other station wagons (456 venice shooting-break)
    - 6 sedans (456 venice sedans)
    - 4 upgraded GTs (456 brunai speciale)

they were all equipped with mercedes benz gated automatic transmission and rolls royce style seats.

many of them were sold to private parties, including one (green 456 venice spider) to dick marconi in california.

    rob,

there are two us models brought into the us by fna for the sultans home in beverly hills. one is a coupe with thye auto trans. the other was a spyder that also had an auto trans. both cars were later brokeerd through sean harris.

any of the other cars would have to fall into the show and display catagory, if you could find one for a reasonable price.

I really like the matching paint on the rims, but not so much the 2-tone paint.

    Bloody hell that Tourer's nice.

For some reason i have always had a soft spot for estate cars, my 5-series Tourer, the Volvo 850 T5s, the jag XJS shooing brake (love that word).... but that 456 takes the prize!

Don't suppose anyone has any shots of a 456 with either racing stripes or a CS stripe please? I know it's not generally the done thing but I want to see any ways there are to make the 456 look just a littlebit more sporting. I know I know, please, just humour me :D

I like the Sedan and the Station Wagon. The sedan can lay claim to the best looking 4 doors in the world IMO.

The sedan and the wagon are awesome!

If that is in fact the rear of the spider, well, I'm not too impressed. I guess sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don't.

Continental or Lake Forest (both on web and both near Chicago) had a red convertible recently. I don't know if it was factory.

Cauley Ferrari had a Michael Schumacher Edition two tone 456 about 8-10 months ago and I believe they sold it. If you want to know more contact fchat member kizdan who could tell you more about it.

Continental has it for sale. The conversion wasn't done at the factory. It looks a little strange with the top up. But I guess if you bought it you would always have the top down.

I delivered a car to a fellow F-Chat member, in fact it was the very last new 456 Cauley ever sold. He modeled it after a 456 that they had on display at the Paris Auto Show. It was bi-color - metallic black and titanium, with a red interior. The photos I see of the Schumacher edition show different colors for it, so I don't think his car is officially a Schumacher edition car. It is a very cool looking car, and he went with the 6 speed!

This is my 456M GT that I ordered from Cauley in May 2003
and about which Dan has earlier referred.
I decided NOT to sell it "8 to 10 months ago"; at least, for now.

As I undertood it the Bicolore was a special edition, an example of which MS happened to own. Its not a Micheal Schumacher one off.

There is a Edition Bicolore Scaglietti 456MGT for sale in Switzerland from a main dealer claiming to have been the propety of Micheal Schumacher.

You are correct! The bi-colore was also referred to as the
"Bi-colore Scaglietti Progam" and had nothing to do with M.
Schumacher, who was given a bi-colore 456M by the company.
This car was shown in FORZA magazine here in the U.S.
in the June 2002 edition (#38, page four).
