    Hey everyone,

I need your help here. I’m requesting some research on the “First Ferrari” the Alfa Romeo 2300 Monza (1930 - 1934) and I need to know what color red was painted on these Alfa Romeo/Scuderia Ferrari cars between this time periods? Also where the Scuderia Ferrari shield was was located on the hood and what is the “White color triangle with the clover leaf” represents? If you guys can post some images of the “First Ferrari” from books and give me some info that would be a big help. Before you guys tell me about looking on the web for these answers, well yes I tried, and didn’t find what I need to know on these cars.

    Thx
    Rob

I think it's a bit of a stretch to call the 8C Alfa the 'first Ferrari' - they were built by Alfa (Associazone Lombardi di Fabricatta Automobili - Associated Automobile Manufacturers. of Lombardi) and the engines were Alfa engines; Enzo's idea to use twin engines didn't come in until 1935. Enzo Ferrari and his team "Scuderia Ferrari" drove them, but did not build them. Enzo was the equivalent of a 'works' driver for Alfa, and later Sporting director for the Alfa Corse team. The cloverleaf "Quadrafoglio" is the sporting/racing emblem of Alfa-Romeo to this day, but sorry I don't know the significance of it. The Alfa 'snake swallowing man' is the coat-of-arms of Milano (home of ALFA-Romeo)
