I am surprised no one else has been on about practice. Just ran a few errands and brought up computer to find that MS was first but now in 5th. Right now it's Montoya, Massa, Villenue, Rubens, MS, Kimi, Alonso. First practice had Wurz followed by Sato, Alonso, Button, Kimi, Fisi, JPM, Pizzonia, Webber and Zonta comprising the top ten. The Ferrari's were mid pack.

Race day weather is currently showing isolated T-storms, 79F high 60F low.

I would like to see the red cars do well but truth be known, it's going to be a McLaren - Renault race.

Interesting that they're a full sec off the pace of the first session so far.

That would be nice, but probably won't happen this race or the rest of this season except in a scenario like the USGP.

    Friday times don't mean anything.

BAR looked good first session, terrible the second. Both JB and TS.

Other than RB driving like a madman the rest is about the same as it always is.

They never have and probably never will. It's the element of posting times and placings the make any times become competitive. The nature of Friday practice gets everyone into the swing of things.

The Friday practice session is JPM's time of glory for the remainder of the races. The only way conceivable that he can win will be if Kimi goes out. It's all down to placings for the rest of the races (or at least this one).

Hi Impy, hope you are doing well. Have a great weekend.

Massa endep up 4th and he has no chance winning this GP. Massa ran only one lap on low fuel so that the Brazilian's see Massa's name in the 4th spot.

I think RB and MS ran on soft-compound. Fast tyres but has no hope of lasting the race.

Toyota aren't good on bumpy tracks.

Me too but the next best thing would be for Alonso to finish up on Kimi.

Do you guys think that given the fact this is Ruben's last Brazil race in a Ferrari, they may put the focus over to him for this race, and try to put him in P1? Something tells me that they may be doing that, doing all they can to give Ruben's a home-track win in a Ferrari.

I doubt it. MS is the franchise, and is still in third place (by 5) over JPM. The weekend will be no different than any other.

I doubt that we'll see anything spectacular this weekend from Ferrari, but I hope I'm wrong.

I'll feel strange watching Rubens racing in other colors next season.

    Go Rubens!

RB is not good enough to win a race with such a bad car like the 2005 Ferrari. He's a slow driver...he'll better go to IRL or Champs cars...

McLaren will be the team to beat this weekend, although it's still early days.

I'm hoping Alonso has a DNF and Raikkonen takes the win, to keep the championship alive.

Ferrari have no chance of pole or winning.

I think we are going to be faster than the Toyota's this week-end.
Bridgestone tyres: softer specification, faster, but it grains a bit more. I think they will use this for the week-end.
    Hisao Suganuma, Bridgestone Technical Manager:

"The Bridgestone teams all used the time efficiently to test their two specifications and although we did notice some graining on the front right tyres, especially the softer specification, it wasn’t too bad and shouldn’t be a problem this weekend."
